Starting up again, 1 hour later, but there's no Google Here's what I put for saving the favorites (please do not steal the code Private Sub Button2_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button2.Click

How can I easily create History and favorites to my tabbed web Browser, so that they are a dropdown menu in my toolstrip and then users can click and the url would be entered into the textbox and the 'go' button performs click (I know how to perform click)
View 14 RepliesI want Favorites/Bookmarks on a web browser.I want it to list favorites in a listbox (if possible) and when you click on a favorite, it will take you to that page.I also want it to add bookmarks on add bookmarks button click I also looked at source of other programs and couldn't find what I'm looking for.I using TabControl1 by the way.I would like to not use IE favorites, but if I have to, it's OK.
View 2 RepliesI'm making a browser and for the favorites I'm using a reader and writer to read and write new favorite to a .txt file. Now if I edit the text file manually and load up the browser, the favorites show up as they should but the problem comes in when I add the a new favourite and then reload the application. Once reloaded the favorites seem to copy what was originally in the file and then whatever I added last at the bottom.
Here is the
Public Class Form1
Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
WebBrowser1.Navigate(TextBox1.Text)
ListBox1.Items.Add(TextBox1.Text)

I am creating a web browser and I would love to be able to view IE favorites and add, delete, rename, and all that to them too.I want to be able to say add to favorites and a new form comes up saying url and name, in the favorites list it reads as the name but when you click it goes to the url. This is what I have so far, never even started the code because I don't know were to start.
1) Menustrip with a view favorites to show and hide it
2) Add favorites button that has a mouseover effect to an other picture
3) Left Panel thats hides / shows
4) List Box that the name is Favorites
5) a combobox that has a go button, you could also press enter and no beep sound comes up
6) I got a tabcontrol web browser page
How do I load the URLs of all favorites in the Favorites file and how do I make favourites in the file? This is the code I have:
Public Class Form1
Private Sub Form1_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
Dim favouriteFiles() As String = System.IO.Directory.GetFiles(Environment.GetFolderPath(Environment.SpecialFolder.Favorites), "*.url")
For Each currentFile As String In favouriteFiles

I just downloaded VS 2010 beta to try my hand at re-learning (from scratch it seems) some of this to do a somewhat basic app. At the moment I have a tree view and it contains/will contain paired parent and child data. There's a Title (the parent) and a URL (child) and that's it with regard to depth. There will be potentially lots of these pairs. That said there may be some options associated with those pairs that would also need to be stored later. I'm thinking the best way to deal with this is to store the data in XML format but, of course, I've never really done much with XML though I can physically read it. Could someone point me or provide a piece of code that saves and restores a tree? [Code]
View 1 RepliesI m making a "offline viewer" which uses saved webpages. I'm using a web browser and a tree-viewer. Is there a way to make the selected node in the tree viewer change if you click on a link in the web page (i.e if you select a link about The Gimp on tutorial 176, the selected node will change to The Gimp tree node)
I know about the code for changing the tree node selection, however what I'm having trouble with the web-browser side of it.
I have a function on my program that allows a user to load a listbox filled with words that are matched with words inside a databank. The databank is filled with 2 string arrays and file of .jpg Pictures. The Arrays attached to each word inside the listbox are approximately one page. Each page is two paragraphs of Text(string Array) and one Picture(20Kbytes).My problem is this. When the user selects the option print all, the listbox with approximately 10255 words is selected and begins to fill a Microsoft Word Document.Because the alotted amount of space needed for the MS Word Document is approximately 5 Gbytes,I need to open about 10 Documents and insert the String Array's and Pictures into each document one at a time.Is there anyway to check the filesize of the Open Document before saving the document. This way I could check the open document inside the algorithm for 512 Mbytes of memory and save the document before the size gets above 512 Mbytes.[code]

View 2 RepliesI'm currently making an dynamic interface using the latest version of DevExpress. I finished making the DockManager with multiple DockPanel in it but there's only one problem. If you look on screenshot #1 you'll notice that in the center of Visual Studio, there's no DockPanel (screenshot #2) container for those document tabs. Also, those document tabs CAN'T dock inside side panels, but side panels CAN dock inside document panels (see screenshot #3)
That is what I'm trying to do. You can see how far I am right now on screenshot #4.
So here's a summary of my questions
1) How could I make some kind of main document panels that are filling the blank space between my side DockPanel?
FOUND! Using DevX's DocumentManager as the MDI.
2) How could I make those panel undockable inside side DockPanel but make the opposite possible?
FOUND! Using DevX's DocumentManager as the MDI.
3) How to make the panels "maximizable" like this (see screenshot #5) when outside the main window ?
4) By default, the tabs are located at the bottom of a stack of DockPanel, but I would like them to be ALWAYS located at the top, would it be possible?
FOUND! Using DevX's DocumentManager as the MDI.

Very first time I debug the coding I haven't got much problem. But debugging it again gives me an Error AS: "A file named 'Resume.XLW' already exits in this location. Do you want to replace it?"
I was able to see this since I have enabled the display alerts. Disabling it generates a save as window.
How do I save my programs settings in a document? Like total sessions used, Total accounts created. Also, How do I make a text file save and load every time the program is opened or closed? The saved accounts should be like this in the text file.
Account: Account name E-Mail: E-Mail used Password: Password used
Account name, Password, E-Mail will will all be in a textbox or combobox so if you can make it save from there. I have an total accounts created combobox. How would I make that load into a combobox and then when session is closed they all save. So loaded into a combobox then saved into a text file.
