.net - MSChart Nearest Data Point?

I use Mschart to produce charts. What I am trying to get is the nearest data point by where I click on the chart. The problem is that I can't find any connection between the HitTest values and the data point x/y values.Say, I clicked on the following point:
Dim result As HitTestResult = Chart.HitTest(e.X, e.Y)I have now values of X and Y where I clicked. How to associate it with the data point values?
What I want to achieve is to double-click on the chart which would find the nearest data point (x,y as integer) and knowing these values I would be able to recalculate other values based upon where the user needs it and double-clicks.

I have read about Round() and MidpointRounding.ToEven but I still could not figure how to use it to achieve what I want. I have numbers (usually from 5 digit decimal) such 125.36 , 125.10, 125.99. I want to make the 2 decimal point rounded to the nearest 20. Means, the 2 decimal point should be either .00 or .20 or 0.40 or .60 or 0.80 only.
125.36 should be 125.40 : 125.10 should be 125.00, 125.99 should be 126.00
125.54 should be 125.60 and so on
Is there math function to make or I should parse the number as text and test the last 2 digit?

I'm creating a maths program and when it comes to division it's giving me .34216 as answeres which isn't what I want.I was thinking declaring the textbox the answer appears in as a single.It's not working out though and it's still using decimal points.I was told by my teacher to declare it as an integer so I tried that too, it's not working out also. I figured based on the code, I would be declaring array3() as the single or integer since that's the textbox the answer will be output into. [code]

I have a database with testmarks of - lets say 30 students. I would like to print a distribution chart using Mschart. The values will be loaded into an array ChartData(30) The distribution chart X-axsis should range from 0 - 100 and the Y-axsis 0 to the average amount.... hopes it makes sence....

MS released the new MSChart for .net 3.5 sp1. I'm trying to get the hang of it in VS2008. One big issue I have is that if I have no data plotted the chart area axis's aren't drawn. Does anyone know a way around that? That seems like a pretty basic/common issue.

I'm trying to extract a piece of text from within the string, defining both a starting point and an ending point. For instance, say I want to search for the text found between "That is a " and " car" in the string "That is a red car", so it would return "red".I know you can use .SelectionStart and SelectionLength, but the length of the word can change, so the selection length can vary. What I want is to establish a specific starting point and a specific ending point from which to extract the text from the string.

What I need is, a program will be distributed and the customer fills it out and such, clicks submit, and the data is sent to the company. I want to avoid using SMTP since not all consumers will have it set up. Is there anyway where this could be done, for the general user? I've spent the day thinking, but have no come up with anything.
The code, to send the info out, will just take the data from text fields, and sent it to either an email (hopefully not) or a place where the company can view it.

i have a picturebox which displays a map i have 2 modes add point and delete point when the user clicks the picture it creates a point on the picture where the user has clicked that works perfectly its when i try and delete the point when it doesent work :/ i have all the points loading from an xml file this is the code i have:

I'm trying to calculate the direction between two points on a two-dimensional grid. Actually I want to determine if that vector is within a range of two values. Suppose the grid's origin is 0,0 at the upper left corner, and 0 degrees represents north. I have a point A on that grid. I want to know if a line from point A to point B on the grid is within a range of directions between 111.8 degrees (a little south of east) and 158.2 (a little east of south). Those are approximations; the 111.8 is 90 degrees plus the arctangent of 2/5, and 158.2 is 180 minus that value. I worked out a series of calculations worthy of a medieval astronomer, but I suspect there is a simpler way. I'm going to have to do this for a variety of other vectors, and I'd like to generalize

I need to move an ellipse from a known point on the screen to another known point on the screen.
I've tried using For.....Loops with less than desired results.
I can't remember everything I've tried, a lot of trial and error has been layed to waste. Lol
I've ended up with this code after putting together what I've tried, what I've learned elsewhere, and a couple of posts I've read on here.
All I want to do is move the ellipse from one point to the other along a straight line that forms the angle between the two points (X1,Y1) and (X2,Y2), make it grow from 2 pixels at it's start, to about 80 pixels by the time it reaches half way, then shrink from 80 pixels back down to 2 pixels by the time it reaches the point (X2,Y2).
Easier said than done.

I have written a program to return the colour of a pixel from an image. The problem I have is I need to return the colour name. Of course not all colours returned will be one of the pre-defined colours (knowncolours), so my question is, is there a way to find the nearest knowncolour which matches the colour of the pixel?
I have looked at GetNearestColour but am confused by its function. It just seems to return the same colour as the parameter passed into it.

getting a formula round off to the next highest .25.example:
2.35->2.50
2.26->2.50
2.24->2.25
2.51->2.75
I can't use the Round function because if I have 2.26 then it will round off to 2.25 which is unacceptable.I have been using the Ceiling function but it rounds it off to the nearest highest integer. Which can add an almost extra kg,lb to my formulas.
