.net - WPF Treeview ItemTemplate And ItemTemplateSelector Are Ignored?

In my application, I have been getting this error each time the treeView loads it's items. This error makes my application slow on load and takes at least two minutes to load.The error is: System.Windows.Data Error: 26 : ItemTemplate and ItemTemplateSelector are ignored for items already of the ItemsControl's container type; Type='TreeViewItem'
My xaml code for the treeview is: (I'm using VB.net on my ViewModel)

The binding of the ItemsSource is an ObservableCollection(Of TreeViewItem) thats is filled from a database.

1. collapse and expand treeview when i click plus sign (+) on treeview, treeview didn't expand subfolder but when i click image, treeview expand it.
2. showing path that i check on treeview when i check the treeview then i'm click the button, then return path that i check

I have a Repeater on one of my pages like so: [code] But, when I run it it errors out with the message:'btn<% Container.DataItem %>' is not a valid identifier.I want to append btn to the Container.DataItem value so that I have dynamically assigned control names that are associated with the underlying data item. Any ideas?

I have the following code. It works as is, but... I am not always going to have an even number of items in the RSS feed So, at the end of the table, I might have only one table cell on the last row. So, is there a way to count the number of ItemTemplates and AlternatingItemTemplate, so if it is an odd number I would be able to add another cell <td> </td></tr> and close the table row?

I have a gridview where each columns have two template fields. One is ItemTemplate and another is EditItemTemplate. Now in EditItemTemplate it will show some textboxes where i can perform necessary editing. I can easily fetch data from each cell by using the following code-

But how can i fetch data when the grid view is not in editing mode that is in ItemTemplate. I have tried the following-

But its getting the exception object reference is not set to an instance of object. This is probably happening because the above code should be used in a method like RowDataBound when a row is instantiated. But I have to fetch data from some other method.Again for clarification I want to fetch data when the gridview columns are in ItemTemplate Mode.

I use Visual Web Developer 2008 Express.I have Label1 in a DataList ItemTemplate. I wish to use a button to get the text from that label and add it to text in TextBox1 which is elsewhere on the page.
I know how to do this from a standard label on a ASP.NET web page but cannot work out how to get the text from a label inside a DataList ItemTemplate.

I thought that because DataList1.ItemTemplates.ItemTemplate.Label2 - System.Web.UI.WebControls.Label is what is written in the properties window header when I select the label in the DataList template.
When I try that, I get a Blue Squiggle under "DataList1.ItemTemplates" and if I hover over the squiggle the error box comes up saying " 'ItemTemplates' is not a member of 'System.Web.UI.WeControls.DataList'

I have a gridview as shown below. When the EmpType is contract the EmpID must be masked as "XXX"; for regular employees, actual EmpID should be shown. Also, when it is masked, I need to add a button control in the EmpID column.I need to do it using mark-up; not using code behind. I'm a newbie in asp.net. When using FormView, there is a big amount of code in ItemTemplate, EditItemTemplate and InsertItemTemplate which is almost identical.

ListView allows the use of LayoutTemplate - but I didn't see any examples that insert this kind of code in LayoutTemplate. And inserting this code in LayoutTemplate would result in an error.DetailView allows to produce code automatically but I'd like to use a specific design (for ex. using "fieldset" that encompasses some fields).

Okay, so I wrote a few custom ItemTemplates for VS2010 that implement IWizard in VB.NET (4.0). Straight forward enough. They work during my testing, but when someone else deploys and attempts to use any of them, Visual Studio throws an incredibly generic Exception has been thrown by a target of invocation error.
Stranger still, after they open up the project properties and try again... they work. Without changing anything. Anyone have any clue what is going on? Or perhaps even just a way of getting VS to give me a more specific error? I already tried devenv.exe /log but nothing out of the ordinary was there.

I don't want to use AlternateTemplate because I would have to edit both of them everytime I want to change something when all I'm using it for is to create the alternating background colors. I have a parent repeater with nested repeaters.My problem is I am trying to use 'Next' and 'Previous' buttons to rebind my repeater (rptTabContent) and thus the inner repeaters also, but when I try to manipulate the state of these links during the ItemCommand event they are overwritten by the bind.

i have a treeview say TV1 and another Treeview Say TV2.. Now TV1 Contains all nodes for user rights. and i want to add to tv2 only selected nodes.Like TV1 is
Node 1
....Child of Node 1 (Level 2)
.........Child of Child of Node 1 (Level 3)
what i want is that when i select Level3 Node it should chek TV2 for the parent of this node. if parent exist it should add the node under the same parent. if parent does not exist it should check for Level 1 Node and if it exist it should add Level 2 Node and then Level 3 Node. Otherwise it should add Level 1 , Level 2 and then Level 3 Nodes in order.

I have a class, let's call MyClass. In this class, I have a TreeView property let's call myTreeView..In my code, I populate the Nodes of this TreeView so I can use it later on.Then, when it's time to actualy use it, I haven't been able to take all the nodes from myClass and put them in a Tree View Control on my form.[code]The weird thing is that when debugging, the TreeView in MyClass is well populated with the proper values and in the loop, newNode isn't empty, there's actually something but for some reason it's not showing anything.

The TreeView uses in its underlying implementation the TreeNodeCollection. The TreeNodeCollection in almost every overload of the add method asks for a key.It also implements indexOfKey and ContainsKey yet there appears to be no way to determine the key of a node from the node itself or from any of the events you would typically use such as TreeView_AfterSelect().
Am I correct or is there in fact someway to retrieve the key from a node or event which I have overlooked? And assuming I am correct. Why on earth was it implemented in such a way? The only thing I could think of was that perhaps TreeNodeCollection.Key is deprecated? But I see no mention of this...
PS: I am aware of the TreeNode.Tag property and how it can be used to the same effect.

I have been looking for a some working code for the last couple of days to set up a treeview in my WPF app to display some database data. I use VB as i am much more confident in it - which drastically limited the code examples out there. More examples i found used manually entered data to populate each node versus a database which was little help. I finally found some code which bound the each node to a query and related the query via a DataRelation. Great this should work perfect!
The example used the Northwind database so I changed it to my database and plugged in the queries. To my shock the treeview populated fine except.... all the data is invisible.
Here is the code:

and here what i end up with the data seems to be there but you can't see it.PS there may be some confusion as to the objects. I went back tried to keep as close to the original code as possible when i discovered the problem only replacing the queries with my own - the original code used "Categories" and "Products" where as I "use Distributors" and "Titles"
