I want to do a web navigation program with autofill forms.(for semi-automatic directory submition). This is one example but because the directory's are diferent I need to check first if fields exists, and I dont know how?

I use the webbrowser control in my program but when after navigate to a site. I try to get some element on the using the document of the webbrowser (like getelementbyid ... ) I notice that some element are missing. I know that elements are dynamically inserted into the page by some javascript. I searched method to get those element and I try to get them injecting a javascript to be executed in the page and return some element by window.external method (or just to try by alert) but even if this script are executed they just return the same result as the method on the document in the original code. Is there a way to access to this 'invisible' element in my program in some way just like I access them by pressing F12 in Internet Explorer?
Here is my code: private void button2_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { //injecting and executing my javascript code HtmlElement head = webBrowser1.Document.GetElementsByTagName("head")[0]; HtmlElement scriptEl = webBrowser1.Document.CreateElement("script"); IHTMLScriptElement element = (IHTMLScriptElement)scriptEl.DomElement; [Code] ....
At the end of the execution both test and test2 have the same html were some element are missing.
I have a Word document in a WebBrowser. I modify the doc and save it with another name in another path. Finally I close my form and put my doc as nothing. My problem is that a dialog box appears sugesting me saving the changes (the changes done in the initial path) but i have already saved my document so I always want to select "No", how can I avoid this dialog box? Or if it isn't possible, how can I automatize this action?
How can I open an Office Document in a webbrowser control? when i tried to navigate the file location... it always prompts the save dialog box... how can i plainly view the document file in webbrowser control?
I have this code set up to navigate to a certain .html document depending on what's selected from a ListBox:
Private Sub FileList_SelectedIndexChanged(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles FileList.SelectedIndexChanged HelpWindow.Navigate(System.AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory & "help" & fileArray(FileList.SelectedIndex, 1)) End Sub
The problem is, when I first select something in the ListBox, it successfully navigates to that file and displays it. But when I select something a second time it doesn't change.
All of the paths it's trying to navigate to are correct. I've checked this 1000 times.
I am having some problems with Navigating to the same URL of the WebBrowser.I am trying to get an HtmlElement from the WebBrowser. This HtmlElement is a simple link ("href"). The link is shown on the site that I am navigating to, every hour for only 1 minute and than disappears.I want to check every 15 seconds if this link exists. So, I am doing a loop with a Timer and refresh the WB control. The problem that I encounter is when the WB control already navigated to the site that I wanted to check, it always navigate to the same page when refreshing. The links or the DocumentText are never changed, even if I enter Internet Explorer and see that it has been a change in the page.
I am trying to get position of html elements in a .net's webbrowser control and failing, i need the exact position of the element relative to the whole document or the webbrowser control to be able to send a mouse click using SendMessage() P/Invoke..I have tried the solution from here but it didn't work:getting absolute position of HTML element in webbrowser control with C#.I am guessing that is because the page relies on very complex ajax and css.the function "WebBrowser1.Document.GetElementFromPoint()" works just fine in getting the accurate html element, i just need the opposite of it.other wise, should i just keep on searching using "GetElementFromPoint()" until getting the correct element?
i have a form with webbrowser and browsed website with an html selectbox in website and i dont want the other <option> elements unless couple of them for easly filling the fields at every visitng

I am working on a project that involves the editing of html of pages on the fly. I have put a webbrowser on the form, and I am able to retrieve the element under my mouse by using: wBrowser.Document.GetElementFromPoint(e.ClientMousePosition) in the Document.MouseClick event. However, I want the experience to be more intuitive, by placing a semi-transparent blue rectangle over whichever HtmlElement the mouse is currently hovering over. I created a borderless form with 20% opacity for this, which works great, except that I cannot for the life of me figure out how to calculate the screen coordinates of the element under my mouse. Here is what I have so far, but while the size is adjusted correctly, the location of the rectangle is just stuck at (0, 0) relative to my form. Highly annoying:

I am using webbrwoser control to open Word document for editing on winform using vb.net. (vs 2005). Now once user edit the word document, I want to forcefully save that edited document to my document when user directly close win form or user will try to EXIT. Unfortunately, word doc which open on webbrowser control if it is edited and when winfrom is being closed it won't ask us to save where as independent word document aske to save changes. I tried to call method "ShowSaveasDialog()" of webbrowser control on winform close event it did not fire up.
I wrote a VB.Net application that displays HTML help files according to user's search results.A user types some keywords and receives a list of HTML help files containing these keywords. When a list item is selected the HTML file is displayed in WebBrowser control. The problem is that I cannot mark the keywords in the displayed HTML file. I need to highlight them like in a standard Help. I tried many options and nothing works. If I change HTML element style manually (background color for a specific string) all pictures attached to this page are not displayed. After "Refresh" operation the pictures are displayed but the text selection is not enabled.I hope there is a standard function for this operation but I cannot find it.
I'm currently working on a reporting app that saves a report to HTML, then sends it to a PDF printer.First off, to render the HTML I am using a webBrowser control:
Dim _renderer As New System.Windows.Forms.WebBrowser
To print the HTML document, I am using the WebBrowser.Print() function
I am grabbing an HTMLElement from a browser object and then using getElementById to grab the element I want. When the element is grabbed into the HtmlElement object double quotes around attributes like <input type="checkbox" name="test1" /> becomes <input type=checkbox name=test1>.It is removing the double quotes and backslash from the HTML available in the HtmlElement. Is there anyway to get the HTML element from Visual Basic .NET code and keep the true HTML formatting?
I need to click an image in a webbrowser from a Windows Form in VS 2010.I can click ordinary links using code such as this one:
Private Sub Button14_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button14.Click Dim lnk As HtmlElement For Each lnk In Form2.WebBrowser1.Document.Links If lnk.InnerText = "the_text_of_the_link" Then
[code]....
When it comes to the second variation of the code I often get the following error message (exception):NullReferenceException was unhandled Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Basically - how do I tell it to click on it only if there are two separate and unique strings of html code in a html tag?
webbrowser1.document.body.outerhtml This transforms all the tags into uppercase and removes quotations. I need to make it valid xhtml does anyone know away to get the outerhtml to not format or maybe a way to easily change the output to proper xhtml.
I have a function on my program that allows a user to load a listbox filled with words that are matched with words inside a databank. The databank is filled with 2 string arrays and file of .jpg Pictures. The Arrays attached to each word inside the listbox are approximately one page. Each page is two paragraphs of Text(string Array) and one Picture(20Kbytes).My problem is this. When the user selects the option print all, the listbox with approximately 10255 words is selected and begins to fill a Microsoft Word Document.Because the alotted amount of space needed for the MS Word Document is approximately 5 Gbytes,I need to open about 10 Documents and insert the String Array's and Pictures into each document one at a time.Is there anyway to check the filesize of the Open Document before saving the document. This way I could check the open document inside the algorithm for 512 Mbytes of memory and save the document before the size gets above 512 Mbytes.[code]
I was wondering if anyone could show me how to check if a tag exists? Here is the code that I am using to get the information from the xml.
Dim XmlFile As New XDocument XmlFile = XDocument.Load(WorkingDirectory & "ToolsMediaInfoMediaInfo.xml") Dim Manage = XmlFile...<track> For Each XmlTag In Manage If XmlTag.FirstAttribute.Value = "General" Then
This is the standard way of checking if URL exists [code]....
return true; } catch (Exception ex) { return false; } But my problem is that we have to check it for around 100 URL's. It takes more then 2 minutes to check for all as it is trying to get response of all of them. Is there any way that we can check if URL exists without getting complete Response so that total response time is less.
In my code, I want to check if a referrer url exists and if the referrer url contains a specific sub string. I know how to check for the sub string:
If( InStr( Request.UrlReferrer.ToString(), "some sub string here" ) > 0 ) Then
But I don't know how to check if a referrer exists or not. No refer exists if the url is entered in manually in the address bar. So I tried this, but this does not work:
If (Not (Request.UrlReferrer.ToString() = "")) And (InStr(Request.UrlReferrer.ToString(), "some sub string here") > 0) Then

I am using Caspol.exe to install a custom Permission set and add Code Groups for my .Net 2.0 Windows Application.
I have created a Console Application that uses caspol.exe to add Permission Set and Code Groups. I first install the Permission Set and if I do not get an error, I continue to install the Code Groups
Now sometimes I need to add a new Code Group to the client machine, so I make the changes to the console app and it is executed on the client machine. If the client machine already has the Permission Set installed, it returns an error and stops the further processing.
So, I want to know if I can check whether a custom Permission Set is already added or not?
How would i just if a website exists, and, if so, launch a browser to open it. I am making a little tool for one of my freinds and it allow then to quickly launch websites.
