I am using VB express 2008 with MsAccess as database. How to bind a dataview to a listview i.e. how we can add data to a Listview from a Dataview.

I read in some post something like under but when i tried to implement that ItemsSource is not a member of Listview:

i am trying to add several rows to a dataview before bindng it to the datagridview. I have tried several variations of the below code but only the last row will actuall load into the grid. Probably doing something stupid.

Most of the project I do, I use the datagridview to display the data from the database. What is the different between the datagridview and listview? If I want to display the data from the database, should I use the datagridview or the listview?

If want to do a DataView.Find on a DataTable that is already 'ORDERED' by the Column I am seaching, so a DataView.SORT should not be necessary, but it throws an Exception if I don't give a .sort command before the .find command. Is there any way to avoid this apparant duplication ? and speed up the search time. Its a very large table - 1 million rows. I am using VB 2010
View 6 RepliesI got a problem with dataview that get data from datatabel (Col1 : ID,Col2: Time) and I'm sorting by Time in desc ... when the values for example {40.21,80.21,70.25,25.2} the dataview sorting them as I need but when one of values goes above 100 for example {40.21,80.21,100.25,25.2} the dataview always sort the highest number is the buttom, I don't know why ..

I have a VB.NET application that creates a dataview from sql table and exports it as an excel file. Now, the data is inserted value by value. Instead, I want to insert the data from the dataview as a bulk insert on to the excel file. Lets say the table has 3 columns (a,b,c) and 1 row of data.

I want the user to be able to re-arrange the columns (by dragging the column headers) before printing the contents of the table.

Give the column-name (c) and cell-contents (3) of the origional table .. not the (3rd) column (b) of the re-arranged table.

I can easily get those details with mainmodule.filename and etc. But my main problem is with adding them to a listview.

listview, without increasing the width of my listview, is there a way to add a newline within the
listview line item so that it's 2 or 3 lines long so there's no need to have the user scroll to see

The listview is set to details view. What I want to do is group the book titles by series. For example, books by Michael Connelly may be grouped by "Harry Bosch", "Jack McEvoy", "Mickey Haller", etc. I can create a new group for each new series by
