1) Add a TabControl.
2) You could change it DockStyle to fill the Form.
3) Add TabPages to the TabControl ( as many as you want ).
4) Add whatever controls to the relevant TabPage .

So using webbrowser, I created a browser. It's tabular and the tabs show the documenttitle of the site. My question is, is it possible to create a picture box in the tab control, to ad the favicon image? Like modern browsers which show the favicon before the document title.

Using Visual Studio 2005 (vb.net) (windows forms) on Windows XP, I have a standard Microsoft TabControl.A button click adds/removes an image from 1 of the Tabs.Seems like the image is placed OVER my tab's text, making it unreadable.Why isn't it like it should be: Image on the left. Followed by text on the right.Why is the image being placed OVER my tab's text? Do I need to do some kind of "refresh" or "redraw" before it will appear as it should? I don't see any way to "make the image appear on the left edge of the tab". (NOT the tab-page.) ... and then place the text just to the right of the image. View 1 RepliesI have a Private Sub that I execute whenever a user clicks one of two or three things, and in it I create a new tab in my TabControl. Once the new tab has been created, I select it then add a formatted textbox to it. However, it is not selecting the new tab and therefore only adding the rich text box into the already selected tab (not displayed, of course, because it has a dock style of Fill.) Here iis my code to select the new tab and format / edit the rich text box:

I have a TabControl on a UserControl. I want the UserControl to behave like a TabControl as usual (it contains only the TabControl and a Contextmenu), including Design-time behavior.I have spent the last two weeks finding out how to add the Design-time behavior and I think I have come a far way.The problem is with adding TabPages during Design-time (while the UserControl is a custom tabcontrol, it is using regular windows forms TabPages).In the Designer class, I have the following code to add a TabPage:

But, I don't think the designer even gets that far because it is telling me I cannot add TabPages to my usercontrol, because only TabControls can accept TabPages... How can I make my usercontrol understand that it is a TabControl (without Inheriting from a TabControl?)

View 8 RepliesI've got a form with a TabControl. PictureBoxes (containing thumbnails) are added to each TabPage thru a loop. A click event Handler is added for each PictureBox. When a PictureBox is clicked, a new form is created thru code and a PictureBox is added to it that shows the pictures enlarged. What I need is to add another Handler to the PictureBox in the code-generated form so that I can rotate the pictures because some of them (photographs) were taken with the camera at 90 degree angles from vertical. I've tried to come up with a solution but I always run into the problem of the PictureBox on the code-generated form needing to be declared WithEvents before a Handler can be added.

I have forms with multiple pictureboxes, labels, etc. They are all numbered, for example, pb_QL01 to pb_QL99, or lb_Main01 to lb_Main29. In the old days, I could reference the properties of these in code using, for example, Me.Controls(a).Image where 'a' was the string of the name of the object (e.g. "pb_QL23"). So, I get it that you can't do this anymore in QB2008 (too bad). I need to set the properties in loops. [Code]
but it takes a long time to cycle through all of my controls, and there are some properties that will not work (like mycontrol.image), image not an option. So, is there an easy way to get this done? I don't want to add the controls in code, since they already exist on the form. If I have to use collections (which I'd prefer not to if there is an analogous way to the old way of passing the name of the control in code with a string, but if I need to, how do I get this to work.

Hey I am making a GDI++ game in vb.net. Now what I want is the monster(picturebox) to go after the player(picturebox). There Are No Vertical Walls. Only The Edge of map barriers. For example to get to the player the AI would have to go to the end of the ledge and either jump off and fall to the lower ledge or take the ladder down. My app has scrolling images in the background and a picturebox on top. The image in the picturebox has transparent parts. How can It so that the transparent parts show whatever is belo the picture box, not the form background? I have tried taking screenshots and positioning them as background but this just freezes the app.

I need to plot some analog values read from the serial port.I plot them in a picturebox starting from left. When I reach the end of the control at the right side I shift all values to the left of a point and I plot the new point at the right, (I have some flickering but it could be acceptable). This is my plotting control.My problem is that I have to clear the control (picturebox) in order to plot the shifted graph, but the method Clear of the Graphics class clears everything inside the picturebox, even my grid.How can i make always visible a grid "in" my picturebox?

Here is whats happening. I've created a class that inherits the PictureBox control that I want to use to place my game pieces on the playing field.

On a side note how can I look at a stack of pictureboxes all created at runtime to determine whats at a particular location? Example. I move my army unit over top of the picturebox that shows my forest. How can I tell what picturebox I just moved on top of? does that make sense? I don't need code for this just directions on looking at the right info so I can figure it out.
I am creating my terrain at runtime as well since it's randomly generated. and I'm basically making an array of 192 pictureboxes with the appropriate terrain image as well as some other modifiers. Just like with my armies above I've inherited picturebox and created a terrain class array, this way I'm able to add my movement modifiers etc, directly to the picturebox I place on the screen. It's these pieces of terrain that I want to be able to check before allowing the unit to move into them! to get movement costs etc.

I want it so if the user clicks on it it will zoom larger --- while the picturebox remains the same size. Of course, the entire image will no longer be seen. So I also want to be able to drap this image around with the cursor. The examples I've found for picturebox zooming cause the picturebox itself to get bigger and smaller. I need it to be like an Access report. Click on the report and it gets bigger. Click again and it goes back to the full image. Does anyone know of an example or tutorial in VB.Net for this type of zoom-with-fixed-size picturebox function?

I am trying to make a picturebox follow another picturebox. But I also want this picturebox to be able to collide with the other picturebox if the picturbox stops. I hope this is not too confusing.
