View 2 RepliesI'm putting together a user control that I want to have some animation in (it shows a pump running) and was able to cobble together a nice animated GIF with Photoshop:When I pop it onto a PictureBox in my control, it animates and looks really good.The problem I have, is I want to be able to change the color-palette information in the image to adjust the hue.Thus, when the user chooses "Color.Red", the image is altered so the dark blue in the image becomes Color.Red and the other colors are adjusted accordingly.
The color math I got no problem with, my problem is, how do you change the color information of an animated gif image without ruining it?I can't just convert it to a bitmap or I loose the animation. It has a single, universal color palette so it shouldn't be too hard.Pre-rendered GIFs aren't an option since these pumps pump colored liquid, I want the user to be able to set them on the fly.

how to graphically show an analog needle moving similar to an old analog meter. I have the picture of the meter I created in paint brush. What I need to know if possible is how do I show the needle moving to a certain value. Basically one end of the needle will be fixed in the middle bottom of the picture and it would move accordingly at a certain angle to my calculations of a certain process.
View 11 RepliesI have a form positioned slightly above the taskbar/system tray in the bottom right corner of my desktop window.It's sort of like a pop-up notification.The notification itself looks great,but there's a button on it which resizes the form up, animating the sizing in increments of 5px whilst keeping it's position relative to the bottom-right corner of the screen.
The problem with this is that it doesn't look very smooth. Adjusting Me.Width resizes from the left so you have to then move the form to the left with Me.Left to compensate. Me. SetBounds just seems to be a wrapper for setting those properties anyway.Is there anything I can do to have the form smoothly (or at least appear to) resize outwards from the left of the form?

The idea is to scan a folder of images and then let the user navigate back and forth through the images using a couple of buttons.The problem is, I can only get it to return a single image, and not the whole lot. It has to deal with LOTS of images (100's potentially) There will be the set of default images, and then the user created replacement images. I started loading all the defaults into a resx file... thinking then I could just pull them out. now that I started setting the default, this sucks! lol the app will do this, on load it will set all the images (variables) to the resx images then when a theme is loaded, it will replace the default with the user image (if the user img exists) otherwise, the default stays. I was thinking to make an app to save images [or download images] to local hard disk. But to keep it easy, I want this app to create a small picturebox on form to show the thumbnail of downloaded image. Lets say a 5 pictureboxes has to be added with the thumbnails to show the recent downloads. A user can save the location where he wants to save the files on hard disk. A listbox or a dropdown menu will help in categorizing the images, like image1 in friends section, image2 in family section, image3 in others, etc... When the program restarts all the latest 5 thumbnails has to be loaded in pictureboxes and the directory that was chosen. Finally, a button that shows the downloaded images into original image file size one by one or a slide show. Is it possible to make such program?

First my prog scan a specific path "C:music" which contain Mp3. Then it takes the MD5# of all mp3 and put it in a listbox1. Also on the formload it does open a ".txt" which also contain MD5# that goes into listbox2.Now this is what i am looking to have :When i click my button it compare each line of my listbox1 to listbox2. Instead of spending a large chunk of my afternoon thumbing through a bunch of differently formatted reports.
One feature that I need to figure out requires that one listbox can see what another is doing. Here, let me try to explain..
I have one list box that keeps track of EVERY action the employee does on a customers account. (cancel, upgrade, downgrade) and then a hidden listbox that JUST tracks "cancel" actions..one for "upgrade" actions and one for "downgrade" actions.
The reason behind that is that in the shift report, the all need to be listed separately. This way, I can just add each list to it's own array and list them where I need to.
The problem I've run into... If an employee handles an "upgrade" action at the beginning of the day..and then later on the upgrade is canceled, I can easily remove it from the main listbox that shows everything, however, I can't figure out how to find it in it's own listbox. The "Upgrade" box.

So unfortunately, on the shift report, it's still there even though it's gone in the program as far as the employee can see.The item in the main listbox doesn't have the same index as the item in each individual list boxes so I can't just tell it to remove the item at the same index..

View 6 RepliesI have a program that will get a hash of the image but the problem is that I have to do to manually.I have a set of images of a folder names images(C:/images/) and ill be choosing which of those images i want to upload to my database.So far I got my program to work with database and such, wat I need is, if its possible I but the folder path on OpenFileDialog and I was a image to show in Picturebox1, then if I press button1 it will go to next picture.

Just somewhere where they can make a note of it really.Is there something I need to do to enable it? All the google results I found were referring more to doing this in code. I literally want to be able to support Ctrl+A, the Ctrl+C straight out of the program to wherever the user wants.
