Jul 5, 2009am facing a problem while am printing from Visual Basic 2005 to one Epson LQ680 Printer (Dotmatrix). every time am printing lines are not coming at the proper place and keeps on moving up or down randomly paper size is not A4 it is 8.5 Inch Width, 12 Inch Height
some times it is printing fine, but after priting 2 or 3 invoices again it is moving every line 1 cm down...etc it moving up and down only left and right ok it is out of my control With PrintDocument1.DefaultPageSettings

Dec 6, 2010I am using VB 2008 & Access Databases for creating WinForm Applications. Also i am using Crystal Reports for Report solution. my question is How do i created reports such a way that they can be printed in faster Ascii Format on any DotMatrix printer. The default true type fonts make printing very slower.
I tried to use "Draft 10 cpi" font which come to available me after i installed a correct driver for my Epson printer. which also helped me overcome this problem. however it wont be the scenario with all my clients i.e. they might have different printers having different Make with different drivers installed. i have tried to open such project on there PC but the printing wont come in Draft instead the fonts get expanded too much & the print wont come right.

Mar 18, 20111. Detect if my printer is busy, because my code tells the printer to print more pages that it can cope with, so I need to delay the command for 'Print the next page' until the printer has finished printing the previous one.
2. Shift the output to my printer so that it gets printed in it's entirety on the paper, instead of seemingly being anchored to some nebulous point on the A4 page. It starts printing at X = 29mm from the left edge, and Y is 28mm from the top, and stops at X = 22mm from the right edge and Y stops at 22mm from the bottom edge, leaving (aprox) 50mm of X and 50mm of Y unprinted.
3. Get useful information on Bounds, which I'm fairly certain is what I need to control where my printing should start and finish.

I have 2 listbox controls FontNameList containing all of the installed fonts on my PC and FontSizeList containing some numbers to be used as fontsize and I use the execommand and build my App but the font did not change instead it grew bigger but when I tryed to change it back it stayed the same.
