Wpf - Set Grid.row Maxheight By Binding
Mar 12, 2012I've a WPF application with a main grid with 4 rows. I wont to bind the property MaxHeight of the row(0) by XAML or code behind to the Height value of the control inside. The control inside row(0) is a ScrollView and runtime I adding controls inside the SV. I've tried with the XAML code:

Asp.net - Binding Arraylist To Grid View?
Jun 18, 2009I'me getting real dumb with this one....I have this class:
Public Class whatever
Public id as string
Public name as string
public date as string
end class
Wich I use with this code:
dim personlist as new arraylist
dim person as new whatever
person.id="1"[code].....
and then i repeat so that i can fill my arraylist with all the information that I want to show in my gridview.The problem is this:
gridview1.datasource = personlist
gridview1.databind()
When executing, I get an error saying :
The data source for GridView with id 'gdpersonlist' did not have any properties or attributes from which to generate columns. Ensure that your data source has content.

When I click the button I called the function and datasource binded to propertyyGrid, its working fine. The same way am binding the grid from another class.vb, the datasource binding not throwing any exception. But the data not showing in the grid. Should I need to change any modifier.

VS 2010 App The Uses Data Binding With A Grid Control And Textboxes?
Apr 15, 2011I'm looking to see if anyone has a sample app or has a link to such an app that uses data binding with a grid control and textboxes and is able to insert, change and delete from a datatable which gets updated to a sql server database.I have done an app that has the grid control and the textboxes already and is able to change and delete from the datatable and that action is reflected in the grid control because it has the datatable as the binding source.
The problem I'm having is when the user tries to insert into the datatable I get a concurrency violation error when using the .Update statement to save the changes to the database. This is happening because I don't know exactly how to get those inserts synchronised correcly.I'm sure I'm also doing the processing wrong but here is what I'm doing.When the user clicks an insert button I insert a new row into the datatable. The user now has the ability to enter text into the textboxes. When the user is finished doing that the user can click the save button which issues a .Update statement. That's where the error is displayed

Briefly, I'm binding the grid to the collection of custom objects - cMessage - to grid's datasource, but I don't want all the propertieties of the cMessage to be shown in the grid. Is there any way to hide some properties from the binding, while leaving them acessible from outside (ie.leave them as public or friend)?

Data Binding - Update The Grid Data By Reading The Array
Apr 2, 2012Data binding should be an extremely simple thing to manage but I can't find a SIMPLE solution to the following problem.
I have two forms
Form1 contains a 4x4 MSFlexGrid (unfortunately an unmanaged COM object but I can merge cells, which I can't do with a managed Datagrid)
Form2 contains other controls which change the data in the Flexgrid.
I connect the two with a Public 4x4 array. Form2 changes the data in this array. I can update the grid data by reading the array. But how do I bind the Grid to the array so that it auto-updates - which is the whole point of binding isn't it?

This works fine. But when the grid is dropped on a TabControl tabpage, the ctrl-tab looks very different to the sub above. e.keycode is seen as controlkey {17} I realize that by default cntrl-Tab moves between tabpages. I need to override this behavior. My thought is I probably need a subclass of the tabControl which will pass the keycombo through just as the form does but I confess to being clueless as to how to accomplish that. I tried to override the onkeydown of a tabcontrol subclass and just issuing a return and not and base call to onkeydown if the ctrl-tab combo was pressed but it seemed to see the e.keycode as controlkey as well.

Thus the subtotal field in the 1st row would equal the sum of the shown quantity field for the entire grid.The next row would include its value and all those beneath it. Its subtotal value would be less than the subtotal of the row above it (by the quantity value of the 1st row). My code for the grid is very simple I just can't figure out how to add this iteration.
