Dec 19, 2011Okay so ive got this project iv been working on. Almost ready to get the beta on its way, last thing I needed to do is retrieve the EXE and change its icon. I found the EXE in the "bin" folder. Copied it to desktop. I went through the properties, no way to do it. Then I searched youtube, and google. Only possible way to change it I found was to use softwares. I tried Resource Hacker (ive used years back, this program was handy), but it didnt work. I replaced the default window-looking box icon with my icon, and that seemed fine. But once I saved and exit, the new file with updated icon was supposed to be created. Well it was, except just looking at the file icon I knew it didnt work. But when I right click and go to properties, that one changed. So why dosnt the MAIN icon change? In RH I seen no other icons

Jun 3, 2009i'm using Vs 2008 express edition, and i want to change the icon of my app, i used paint to create my ico file, and even been able to use that icon to a folder. My icon doesn't have any transparency or alpha channel at all.
2 question: my app creates and edits .gd files, and in order to read and load the file, i have a sub (sub loadfile), and an openfiledialog, the loadfile then uses the openfiledialog.filename, to load the chosen file. But i want users to be able to click the file, choose openwith, and open it with my app, the problem is i don't know how to open that file, of this way. [Code]

Application Icon Size Doesn't Change
Jun 21, 2010My vb app uses an icon which is 128x128, which looks fine on the desktop. But when viewed in a folder with View set to Extra Large Icons its size doesn't change - it is too small (smaller than 128x128). Any ideas how I can rectify this?
