ddlEProjectLevels is dropdownlist in edititemtemplate.Whwn i click edit in 1st row ddlEProjectLevels gets loaded with data from database.But in 2nd row dropdownlist does not contain values.Again in 3rd it gets loaded from db.Means in alternate rows,when i click edit dropdownlist(ddlEProjectLevels) doesnot load values.Can anybody help?

Apr 11, 2012Consider this SSRS value expression :=IIF(First(Fields!MyCol.Value, "MyDataSet")=0, "yes", "no")
MyCol is a Nullable column. I want "yes" to be output only when MyCol equals 0. The code above correctly evaluates to "yes" when MyCol is 0. However, it also evaluates to "yes" when MyCol is Nothing (i.e. NULL in SQL Server). Is this expected behavior ?
I had to resort to the following longer expression to get the desired result :
=IIF(Not(First(Fields!MyCol.Value, "MyDataSet") is Nothing) And First(Fields!MyCol.Value, "MyDataSet")=0, "yes", "no")Is there a shorter version of this which also works ?

Which is inside a class which overrides a custom list base. The code is occassionaly throwing an unhandled exception, System.NullReferenceException, on this line when used in production:
If _PurchaseDelivery IsNot Nothing AndAlso _PurchaseDelivery.DefaultSKUBinID.HasValue Then
DeafultSKUBinID is declared as an Integer? (Nullable Int) in the PurchaseDelivery class. I cannot see what might be causing this error, why would this be returning an error?

Mar 28, 2011Basically, I have a list of dates in a SQL table with some statistics next to each of them. I want to compare the dates in the table with a certain date I choose. However, my dates in my table are stored as Varchar(50) (and have to be). Apparently I can convert the date in the table into date type but I don't know. Does anyone know how? Name is never null, but number may be. In this case I want the report to include the NULL in each group, like this:

The SSRS, however, puts the null in a group on its own. How do I accomplish this?

VS 2010 Showing Null Dates In A DGV
Jul 21, 2010I've got a DataGridView that has a column that will show dates/times this column needs to be sortable so I use this to tell the DGV that it is storing Date type objects (so that sorting works fine automatically):[code]Now the problem is that there will be some records shown in this DGV that do not have a value for this date column. How can I display this? If I dont set a value for that column or I set it to Nothing then the cell just shows the minimum date value (01/01/1601).Oh and this DGV is not using data binding if that makes any difference. Perhaps this might be a good time for me to investigate this data binding lark though if that will help with this issue? I'm sure I recall seeing something about being able to use one value but display another value when you use data binding thats all.

VS 2010 Handle Null Dates In A Database?
Apr 18, 2011I am reading dates from a table in a database to display in a DataGridView column that is formatted as a date. The problem is that when the value is null in the database my program errors out because it cant convert the value to a date. How do you guys handle this? *Edit: If I set the value of my date variable to "Nothing" it displays as "1/1/0001" in my DataGridView, and I would like the cell to be empty for the null dates.

When one string is blank, the length check becomes "null" and so does the whole statement.But if the length checks are all not null, the if statement becomes a "1" and then procedes to execute the Do X procedure again.

Null Dates In Mysql Throw Exception When Loaded Into Datagridview?
Feb 15, 2012Having problems with null dates in a mysql table. Have eventually found out that I can store a 'null' date in mysql as "0000-00-00" and I can run the 'insert' command to add a record to the mysql table. When I check on mysql workbench I can see the row has been inserted correctly and the date shows as "0000-00-00".However...When I try to load the table into a datagridview, I get an error = mysql Conversion Exception was unhandled = "Unable to convert MySQL date/time value to System.DateTime".

Mar 15, 2012I'm working with a database application and i want to check if there is a null value in a specific column but it works only when its not null but if its null it throws an exception automatically. I tried to change the null value property of this column but I'm not able it shows a message that its not a valid property. Dec 28, 2009I've found out that if two instances of an SSRS report run at the same time, any Code variables declared at the class level (not inside a function) can collide. I suspect this may be the cause of our report failures and I'm working up a potential fix.The reason we're using the Code portion of SSRS at all is for things like custom group and page header calculation. The code is called from expressions in TextBoxes and returns what the current label should be. The code needs to maintain state to remember what the last header value was in order return it when unknown or to store the new header value for reuse

Feb 27, 2012I'm implementing a State Machine in WF 4.0. In some transitions, I have added a condition where I check that some variables have the expected values. The variables are enums and booleans, and everything is fine.
However, now I tried to evaluate when a property is null. I have and argument in my workflow, let's say, 'MyArgument'. In a transition, I try to put a condition like 'MyArgument.MyProperty = Nothing'. I never developed in VB.NET, I don't know if I'm missing something here...
VS2010 gives the following error: "Error 4 Compiler error(s) encountered processing expression "MyArg.MyProp = Nothing".
Operator '=' is not defined for types 'XXXX' and 'XXXX'
The type names are exactly the same, and I have debugged VS2010 to ensure that my assembly is not loaded from 2 different locations.
How can I check if the property is null or not?
BTW, I'm using VS2010 SP 1, with .NET Platform Update 1 installed, on W7 64 bits.
