I have a webcam directly over a chicken nest. This camera takes images and uploads them to a folder on a server. I'd like to detect if an egg has been laid from this image.I'm thinking the best method would be to compare the contrast as the egg will be much more reflective than the straw nest. (The camera has Infrared so the image is partly grey scale)

Is there any possible way to nest Databound DataGridViews in .NET? What I would like to have happen is for each row in the DataGridView to have a button to expand, which would then give me a DataGridView underneath that. I would like this nested DataGridView to also be able to do this, so I could go n levels deep with them.
Is this possible with the .NET Winforms standard DataGridView? (Or another standard .NET control?) I have seen people reference some third party controls, however they are really expensive, and I don't really want to go that route.
I got my code and the number are finally right the only thing is i can not get it to loop right. It should ask the user if they would like to buy more bars and if they say yes it should continue if it says no then it should exit but everything i am trying is not working.[code]
View 3 RepliesI want to know if it is possible to nest groups within a listview. I started with a listview in my application that contains list types and this worked fine. I have now been asked to group by Product, then Week Commencing and finally by List Type; This would envolve a 3 group nest and i just cant figure out how to do it (if at all possible).

It has to deal with LOTS of images (100's potentially) There will be the set of default images, and then the user created replacement images. I started loading all the defaults into a resx file... thinking then I could just pull them out. now that I started setting the default, this sucks! lol the app will do this, on load it will set all the images (variables) to the resx images then when a theme is loaded, it will replace the default with the user image (if the user img exists) otherwise, the default stays. I was thinking to make an app to save images [or download images] to local hard disk. But to keep it easy, I want this app to create a small picturebox on form to show the thumbnail of downloaded image. Lets say a 5 pictureboxes has to be added with the thumbnails to show the recent downloads. A user can save the location where he wants to save the files on hard disk. A listbox or a dropdown menu will help in categorizing the images, like image1 in friends section, image2 in family section, image3 in others, etc... When the program restarts all the latest 5 thumbnails has to be loaded in pictureboxes and the directory that was chosen. Finally, a button that shows the downloaded images into original image file size one by one or a slide show. Is it possible to make such program?

I can make the lights randomly flash using a randomGenerator and a Select case statement. However, the code is very long. There are 67 lights on this tree and the code is 71 pages long. How do I use those images in my Resources Folder in my solution explorer to set an image for a certain picturebox or form. I sorta need a code for it.

Then, I try and compare the set value, but instead of it being equal to 1 or 0, the code behind that I've stepped thru shows it ends up equaling &H0 or &H1. What does that mean? Also on the formload it does open a ".txt" which also contain MD5# that goes into listbox2.Now this is what i am looking to have :When i click my button it compare each line of my listbox1 to listbox2. So that even when they are not connected on the network, the local database can carry on accepting data but when the network is back on, the local database can update the server and the server can also update the local machine with data it accepted during the time when the network was off. by first comparing two tables in two databases and then if they are any differences the updating begins and i've since been stuck.

I want to track changes of a document which sits in a DB table like :
document starts

document continues 2
document continues ...

(Each line is a record but if needed I can combine them all to one record)I have the document before changes in one table and the document after the change in another table.My problem is that if I just compare them by ID then I'll get many more changes than actually occured. Ex: If a line (/record) was added between record 2 and record 3, instead of tracking 1 change I will see that all the records from 3 and on have changed (because they will be pushed off by one record). Can be also something which knows to compare documents and I'll take the information out to document for comparison.
