Control Array - Add New Event - Click Event Code And Calling It A Doubleclick Event
Jul 31, 2010I've read thru Iceplug's tutorial on control arrays and got it working. I tried to add a new event by basically copying his click event code and calling it a doubleclick event. I used the proper addhandler and assigned the correct name to my sub. I have the click event changing the background color to blue and the doubleclick event changing the background color to green. The background color does not change to green. Why?

Active X Control - Click Event - User Has To Double-click On Button In Flash Movie
Mar 23, 2009I have a vb.net application that uses Flash movies (AxShockwaveFlashObjects.AxShockwaveFlash). I have buttons in the flash movie. When they first start using the application, they can single click on the buttons in the flash movie and button responds accordingly. But after a while (and I haven't been able to pin-point an exact thing that changes it or my issue would be solved), the user has to double-click on the button in the flash movie for them to work.

Dec 1, 2010I want to create a server control that inherits System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button but gives it special capability, now what do i mean? i want my button to be a confiorm button that will work like so:
Renders to the page as a button of lets say cancel after the user clicks it i want to catch the click event (within the server control) and now after the click makeing the button not visible and makeing some kind of content placeholder (that will render from the server control) visible. that content place holder will have 2 buttons inside of it: yes and cancel. I want the programmer that adds this control to be able to register a function to the click event of the yes button. and the second cancel confirmation button should make the first button appear agian. (i know how to do this all in the client side but this time i need it all as server events)
My question is this: how do i catch the click event? i want it all to be handled inside the server control itself. so a programmer that adds this control wont have to worry about anything but just needs to register to the click event of the "yes" button.

May 13, 2009I've found out how to create my arrays with code, instead of the old way (easier way) I'm used to from VB 6. At first I created 10 picture boxes on the left and 10 pictures boxes on the right. Then I coded an array of labels to display the words. However, the text would not show up on top of the picture boxes, even after I sent the picture boxes 'to the back'. So then I created an array of picture boxes as my cards with an array of labels to display the spelling words. This works quite well. I have also used a loop to randomize the first spelling card chosen to display on each side of the screen, so that the 'cards' are in different places. (Its not completely randomized this way, because they will still be in order, but at least I get all 10 words and no duplicates. I doubt my son will figure out that they are still in order anyway. He will just know the words aren't in the same place on each side of the screen.)

The panel has a click event which shows a message saying "HI"
when the panel is behind the wmp control the message is not shown when i click on it.
so the question is is there a way round it, cos currently it only works if the panel is on top of the wmp control

Apr 10, 2011I do a lot of programming in VS 2010 on my Windows XP Pro PC. Recently I tried testing my software on a Windows 7 Home PC. For some reason, all of the controls on my forms are slightly misplaced. I also get a bunch of unhandled exceptions I don't get on my pc. For example, one exception said it couldn't access a registry key. Another said it couldn't find the part of a path (it didnt specify which path). What's up? Why is it doing this? My Win XP PC tricks me into thinking my apps are bug free. Guess not.

I have a textbox1 on form1 with a click evet that says textbox1.text= form2.txt(1).text but it gives an error (txt is not a member of form2). I tried disabling option explicit, option strick and option infer. Still won't work. My code is to long for this place maybe a short version osf the code. Do I need to make a Public MyArray(15,15,15,15) as string, in the Module1 then copy txt(n).text to the array or is there a way to access txt(n).

Search An Array - Search The 4 Columns Of My Array By Using This Click Event
Dec 15, 2009I am trying to search the 4 columns of my array by using this click event. The column is determined by a radio button as you can see. I changed my code from last time and now it works, but only for the first column. If i try to search out a string in the second or third columns I get an error based on the line highlighted in blue HTML accutally shows and it is green. the error says Index was outside bounds of array
Like i said It works fine for all values in the first column, accually the second (Numbered 1). If i enter a value in the partsnumBox and it is found in the the 2nd 3rd and 4th columns I want the value in the first column (0) of the same row.

Jan 3, 2012I am trying to code for is as follows: Construct a two dimensional array and enter into it a sales id number followed by twelve variables which represent sales totals made by the sales agent. this must provide space for five agents. I can declare the proper array and have done so as follows

What I am trying to do is setup a function within the same click event procedure which stores the current SalesAmount as a variable in the array and moves to the next slot to get ready to store the next SalesAmount. However I have no idea where to go from here. I have tried a ton of different pieces of code which are either all littered with errors or do not return a value when I call it. Calling the total of each row and the total for all rows is something I need to do for display and I am not one hundred percent sure I know how to do that either.
