Jun 6, 2012I have been trying to figure out how to read paragraph content which exists a heading. The heading itself is part of the table of contents. The heading will have a particular style (say Heading 1). For example: "Introduction" is a entry in Table of content with style Heading 1. I want to read content under heading "Introduction" but not any more content (i.e not content under sub headings of Introduction) I have been trying to do this using styles/style, TableofContent, Paragraphs/Paragraph,Range. Jun 21, 2010I have used Mid,InStr and other methods to get a substring of a string from one text file and copied the required string to another text file. While I get the correct string, vbscript however generates a BLANK SPACE after evry character in the output string.
I tried to use the Replace function inorder to replace the " " with ""... but the function does not detect any blank spaces at all to replace.
Instead of copying to another file, I even tried to replace the undesired part of the string with a " " and get only the required part ... but then again it gives the same problem[ a BLANK SPACE after evry character]

How To Copy Contents Of Individually Selected RichTextBox
Aug 10, 2011I have 42 RichTextBoxes (RTBs) and I would like to add my ContextMenuStrip to each of them (which I have already done), but the problem I am having is when the application is running and the ContextMenuItem "Copy" for example is clicked, I can only make it copy the context of one of the RTBs, when I would like it to copy the contents of any individual one. So as I mentioned, I have 42 RTBs, but I am having trouble getting the contents of the focused RTB. The below code is just copying the 1 RTB and when I Copy on another RTB, it copies the contents of RTB1.
I originally started out with like so, but is just for the one RTB and when I add more than one in the code below it's even more of a disaster..

In this form as a form load event

I get an error message to try new but I can't figure out what it means.

Mar 15, 2012Been trying to figure out how to do this for a while, but I can't seem to find anything that exactly covers what I'm trying to do. I'm really a novice when it comes to vb .net, so this might be staring me in the face and I wouldn't know it.I've got a Motorola MC3090 mobile barcode scanner running Windows CE 5.0 at work. I wrote a small program (in .net 3.5) that allows me to scan barcodes and then get counts for specific barcodes when I type all or part of the barcode into an textbox. That works pretty well for receiving, but I need something that works better for the reverse process (shipping things out).
I have an textbox which accepts the barcodes. When the scanner emulates an enter key press, it adds the code to a listbox and clears the input field. This process loops as many times as my quantity field specifies. There's another textbox which I use to input partial barcodes that I want counts for. It looks for strings in the listbox that match, dumps them into a second hidden listbox, and counts those.
If you're the tl;dr type, here's the short of what I want to do with all of the above. I want to take the contents of the visible listbox, summarize by listing each unique barcode, and have a count of how many of each unique barcode appears in the listbox.
