I am using the code below to take a picture with a webcam, saving that pic to a newly created folder by clicking the PictureButton.
The CropButton does the cropping.However when the SaveButton is clicked I need the pic being saved with the name "Cropped Photo.bmp" to allso be resized to 100x139 pixels.

View 1 RepliesIm craeating a dart scoring program (to use myself in my dart room) and want the user to be able to click in different areas of a picture of a dart board to register the thrown darts.
This program will be resizable, so the picture of the dart board can change it's size when the user change the program window size.
Im using a list of polygons(pointF-arrays) to map up each area and run some calculation to see if the mouse click is inside the polygons area, but how do I scale those polygons correctly when the picturebox is resized? My polygons are hard coded to map the dartboards area of the picture at a specific size.[code]...
The problem is that i am trying to resize pictures so they fit into a picturebox with good quality. I have found a code (se attached code) on the internet that resize the picture correctly but the quality is poor.
If i resize the picture in Adobe photoshop before i put it into the picturebox the quality is good so there is nothing wrong with the orginal picture or the picturebox. It's the resizing that is the problem.

View 8 RepliesI have VS 2008 and use VB, not C#/C++ or whatever else. I'm trying to make a battleship game, and I've decided to use the only method I can think of to control the grid. A 2D boolean array for position marking. I have the array set up, and the grid set up in the design form, but I can't figure out with all my research how to link them together. I'm writing this program to shake off the rust before school starts again, and for fun. I took VB in school last year, a half year class, so I have a foundation, now I'm self-educating myself above and beyond the class. I've searched for a way to use a picture box array to use the coordinates of the ship to .Visible=True the picture boxes. I've been working on this for 2 days straight with no results. I just need a little nudge in the right direction. The exception I've been getting with my latest concoction of code is NullReferenceException was Unhandled. I think its referring to the fact that I have no idea how to link the picture boxes into the array. Here's my code, and I'll comment where the exception is thrown:

I have this code in my system which I use to retrieving images from a database by formatted blob. But some database records don't have pictures ([BLOB - 0 B]). list code for me to place an error picture in picture box1 when a picture is not available.

Normal the form is 1080x1024 but i have a few people with laptops that are smaller and there are scroll bars, but it opens too big for the screen and the resizing can only be done in the lower right. View 5 Replieswe are having a problem in drag and drop some pictures, so here it is.have pictures put in the tool strip about 10 pictures, then we are to drag and drop it in our workspace made up of a one picture box. when we drag a picture on it, yes it appears, but when we drag another picture, the first picture dropped in the work space is overwritten by the second picture, meaning it was gone.

in the database store pictuer name and its path ?
My plan is to use a database to hold her recipes and create a user interface with search controls and different stuff, this way she will be able to add new recipe's and the program will have a much more modern feel to it.
My question is, I have added a picture box control to the new recipe form and when I click on the picture box I want the program to load "my pictures" and let me select a picture to load into the picture box, like you can on ebay when you are selling stuff, you can select your picture and it loads into the picture box.
As far as starting this off, I can add a double click event on the picture box control, this will trigger whatever code I need to use to load the open file dialog.
Can I use simaler code that I used for a text editor program I wrote for opening saved documents?
