DataTable Select Right Outer Join Query Triggers A "Failed To Enable Constraints" Error

I am using/creating a DataTable so the "enforceConstrains" property is not avilable for DataTable.Error message: Failed to enable constraints. One or more rows contain values violating non-null, unique, or foreign-key constraints.

There were three similar questions in StackOverFlow but none gave an answer.. If have found why this error in occurring but don't know the fix. I am using Strongly Typed Dataset for my project which is created as a dll for DAL. I have added the Sql Server Table into this dataset using the designer and has created a DataAdapter
I am getting headache analyzing what's causing this error message "Failed to enable constraints. One or more rows contain values violating non-null, unique, or foreign-key constraints."I have 7 different sections, each sections has the same subject component, one of which is CLUB. The error will only display for one particular section but for the rest of the sections, the program work fine. All sections uses the same code that's why I am very puzzled with the error. if the code works for the rest of the section one it fails for the one particular section?I have check my table (sql2005 express) and all the records are intact.The error is pointing on da.Fill(Me.Grading_Rpt_DataSet.tblEnrol)of the code below.
I keep getting this error message (see image). What's weird is it's coming from a "typed" dataset that is bound to a DataGridView and even though I get this message, the DGV still loads with all the data. I've bound this dataset to the DGV thru the designer. Here is the line of code that is erroring out: Me.adpItemMaster.Fill(Me.JewelryDBDataSet18.tblItemMaster) I checked the table and the primaryKey for the tblItemMaster is unique for each row.
When I use the dataAdapter.fill(ds,tableName), it reports an error: "Failed to enable constraints."Yes, I changed the selectcommand.I know if I modified the selectcommand, and if it will take diffrent columns result, this error will be reported.
I've looked all around and spent way to long trying to convert this SQL statement into a Linq statement in VB. I'm sure it would be a good example for others out there - the statement is trying to pull products that have a many-to-many relationship with product categories, and the categories have a hierarchy of parents/children.
Here is the query I am trying to convert:

I can get up to the point where I am trying to say "WHERE ... (P_Cats.Parent = 9)" but can't figure that part out.
I have a set of LINQ queries filtering original datatable (loaded from Excel file) based on user selections in Comboboxes. Then the result is joined with Arraylist to further filter the set. Arraylist is a simple list of strings.

This however will not return any item that has a ParentItemId of null. I am trying to do a left join so as to return all "Item" regardless of whether it has a parent or not. I am aware that this is feasible in C# by adding an "into X" on the join, and selecting from X.DefaultIfEmpty(), this however does not appear to work in VB.Net.

I've got what I think is a working left outer join linq query but I'm having problems with the select because of null values in the right hand side of the join.[code]I want to return all of e and one column from c called tClassCode. I was wondering what the syntax would be. As you can see I'm using vb.net.[code]If i remove the c.tClassCode from the select the query runs without error. So i though perhaps i needed to do a select new but i don't think i was doing that correctly either.
Basically what I'm having to do is create a program that takes a list of CaseIDs and compares them to a table on a remote SQL server. However, the table holding the CaseIDs on the remote server has nearly 120,000 records.
Currently my plan is to query all records on the remote server, save the query and the current list to tables in an Access DB file and then run an outer join to see which CaseIDs have no matching records on the remote server.
I believe this will be a much slower process than I would like. If I could load both queries into arrays or lists in VB and then compare them (therefore, not having to write 120,000 records to a DB file), it would be much faster.
how to translate a simple SQL LEFT OUTER JOIN with a two condition where clause into a working Linq-to-Entities query. There are only two tables. I need values for all rows from Table1, regardless of matches in Table2, but the WHERE clause uses fields from Table2. In SQL, the two parameters would be Table2WhereColumn1 and Table2WhereColumn2, and the query (which works) looks like this:
I've tried using Group Join with DefaultIfEmpty(), as well as an implicit join (without the actual Join keyword), and I only get rows for items that have values in Table2. I'm sure this won't help, but here's an example of the Linq I've been trying that doesn't work:

Instead I'm returning ALL values from table 1. I need to return all values from the left outer join where tbl2.fID is null.
I have two tables, a LP_task table and an lp_Update table. I want a complete list of tasks and only updates that were posted during a specific date range. LINQ doesn't seem to support any other join criteria but 'equals'or each task. I want all tasks (left table) even if they don't have an update. (Left Outer Join)

I would like to list all of the job titles(for which there could be multiples as different employees can have the same job title) in the employee table and find the maximum amount of hours for that job title as the hours could be different for different empoyees.
I'm using Visual Basic Express 2010 and SQL Express 2008 in Windows XP. At first I couldn't add a datasource (the .mdf file for the database) because of a "Operating system error 32" which I seemed to have resolved by giving myself full permissions for .mdf file (by right clicking on the file and going into properties and then Security) and restarting the SQL SERVER (SQLEXPRESS) service. The dataset for the database is in my solution explorer but when I right click on a table adapter to add a query and attempt to open up the query builder, I get the error in the title above.
I have pulled information from a database into a datatable (dtCustomerInfo) then I expanded on the columns by processing the data and I can display this in a datagridview without any problem. However, the data is in detail and I want to ultimately summarize by customer name.The code below has a commented sql statement that is the statement I ultimately want but it is not working. However, the idea is that I want to Select from one datatable into another but run aggregate sum on several columns so that I will get one record per customer showing totals for each column.So I broke it down to just pull all data possible into the second table.[code]I do know the grouping in the current select * statement does nothing but my issue is more that the columns do not show up.

I have a string like "Hello'World" and a Data Table with some records in it. One of those records is "Hello'World".he problem is, when I do a .Select in the Data Table, it only tries to search for the "Hello" part and throws an error on "World" because it interprets the ' (single. cuote) like the closing cuote on sql.DataTable.select("text = 'Hello'World'")I have gone through msdn doc, and it says I can escape some characters with [] brackets or f.slashes , but I just can't figure out: .select("text = 'Hello[']world'")
I have a project I have a dataset that contains tables In the dataset designer, each table has a defaiult FILL command set. I have draged and droped my table as a grid onto my form VB automatically sets up the table adapter, and binding source to make it all work.
in my code, is placed in the form load routine, a tableadapter.fill(dataset.datatable)
Here is my dilemma. The data in my table may have 100's of thousands or rows.
I have presented the user with a front end that allows for filterring and selecting based on several columns. reguardless of how many rows the result set contains, there will always be the same columns in the dataset.
Because there are so many combinations of select query, i do not want to make 20 or 30 custom fillby's in the dataset. I want to make an addhoc select query and have the binding source and table adapters work as expected. I have created a query called "FillByCustom" in the dataset designer attached to the DataTable Adapter section.
My question is this.
If i build a select query that returns the desired rows, how do i place it into the adapter in place of the FILLBYCUSTOM select command, such that it all works as expected?

Using vb2005 and .Net 2.0. I've been trying for some time to get my query to work. I've posted my issue on several forums but no one been able to asssist me. From code behing I need to query Active Directory and have following issues:
1. I need to select only where "title" is empty and 2. I need to do a LIKE on sAMAccountName
