I'm using a richtextbox which contains some invisible text; this is so I can have the user add a hyperlink - the code inserts the hyperlink as invisible RTF text after the link text. The problem I have is trying to delete the hyperlink - if I try and set the selectionstart and selectionlength to select the hyperlink, they ignore the invisible part (which is all of it).
So, how do I select the invisible text so it can be deleted? - I have the appropriate index and length available. An alternative approach is to somehow map the index to find the location in the rtf property of the RTB and delete the text in there;

I am currently using a DevExpress (10.2) Banded GridView within my Visual Studio 2010 project. I have a problem with Combo Boxes. When one uses the mouse to open the drop down menu, the text appears to be missing, but when you click on a entry, the text appears in the box at the top of the combo box (the thumb?). Likewise, when the cursor keys are used to scroll through the options, the text appears in the thumb.
Currently, the user must first type in the driver they're new folder is located in (Like C , D , E , ect). This then takes them to where the pre-determined folder is located. However, my friend decided to make this harder for me. He now wants the user to be able to change the 'pre-determined' folder.
As you can see, they type the driver name in and then it sends them to a path that is in the richtextbox. However, with them now being able to change the path if they like, the thing looks like this.. (If they decided to browse for a new path)[code]...

Using this [URL] to retrieve both address and place name at the same time ("//span[@class='listingTitle']|//div[@class='address']/text()[normalize-space(.)]"), I can get a list of placenames and addresses like this in a richtextbox:
The first line is bad, it doesnt have an address. Line 2 and 4 are good, they have addresses. So what I could do is:Check each line,if the following line doesnt contain "numbers + ON" then delete line. This will leave me with PlaceNames followed by addresses, which I will then split every other line into a new textbox, (so I have one textbox with placenames, and another with addresses).
I have a richtextbox with some text in that I got from a webpage.I need to delete all the text without background color but also i would like to keep the market words in same row as it was before deleting lines. Here is the example of the text:
My application appends incoming report data onto a RichTextbox control. As more text arrives from an external device, the thumb initially fills the trough and as times goes on, the thumb diminishes in size. This is expected behavior.A modal dialog box allows the user to cancel the file download but since it's modal, the user can't scroll down to see what the last text that was appended. Is there a property/event/method that will show the most recent/last text in the RichTextBox control, rather than the initial text as I have it displayed now? The user would be able to see the text drawn real time without having to use the thumb to accomplish
I have the first part done, ... I can delete all the text before spacific text, ... now I need to delete all text after a spacific point in a string of text.
I'm making a better, and more simpler BandWidth Monitor, and I'm extracting the Bytes Recieved, ... but just the value, and leaving out all the rest of the text.

I have not been able to "Get" properties of richtextboxes that are in other forms in my MDI interface. I'm creating a document editor which specifically call for a richtextbox for each form. I'm attempting to implement a Find/Find All form, which is why I need to "Get" text from each document by creating a property for each. However, I keep getting "null" erroer messages.
My property structure follows:
Public ReadOnly Property rtb_txt_form() As String Get Return Solution.TextForm.RichTextBox1.Text.ToString()

I'd like to know if that's possible to locate the text that I'm currently positioned on, in order to show it on a tooltip.I've just googled but found nothing. It seems like I have to use MouseHover event, but can't find how to find the position of where I'm currently on.
How can I copy all the text within a RichTextBox so that I could paste it somewhere else? I am not sure how I could do this in VB.Net.[code] I tried coding it like that, however that code doesn't do anything.
How can I insert a text in RichTextBox at current cursor position. The AppendText method adds to the end of the existing text. Any similar method that inserts text at the current cursor position?
I've delayed this issue for quite some time with an application, and I am getting annoyed that I can't figure out how to print properly. I have a RichTextBox named RichTextBox1 on my form that is used as a notepad. I've wanted to be able to let the user print this text to a printer with a printDialog. I personally have very little knowledge of how printing works with VB and would like to understand it more.
Are there any examples of using a RichTextBox and printing? [code]...
I would like to print the contents of my RichTextbox. I already have a bit of code, but it will print the text only with the SelectionFont. I don't know how to make it print all the fonts, colors and sizes in the RichTextbox.
