I have a requirement to move the html text available in a string builder to a word document and open the word document after the data is appended in a VB.NET console application. I am new to console applications and am not sure how this could be done, but I am aware that if I am using a Web Application then I can use the following code:[code]

I need to write some code that opens a Word Document and then either extracts the data so that a HTML document can be created or simply resaves it as an HTML document. I've had a quick look around the net and tried adding an Object Reference to Microsoft Word Object X.0 Library to my Project. So that I could play around with things, but immediately It was telling me the following weren't defined.
Dim objWdApp As Word.Application
Dim objWdDoc As Word.Document
Dim objwdRange As Word.Range
Could anyone either explain what kind of thing I would need to do or link me to some useful tutorial.

We have an interactive windows based application written in VB .Net 2010. It uses Word Object to display documents in MS Word. We have a form with a button. When the button is clicked we open the Word document and maximize the Word Windowstate. When we have the Visual Studio Tool running, the Word Document is maximized and has focus, even if we are running the exe from the bin folder outside of the tool. However, if Visual Studio is not running and we run the exe, focus remains on the original form window and the document stays in the task bar.

I have a VB.net application that gets data off our server with ODBC and populates and saves a Word Document. When I try to deploy it to another computer it will get the data just fine and populate the first document, but it will crash before saving it. I've installed the .net framework 4.0, Microsoft Data Access Components, and the Microsoft ODBC .net data Provider. The error code is 0xC0000005, which is from what I can see is called an "Access Violation Exception." It works fine on my computer.

I have used examples from threads here on how to open and convert word documents to html in order to parse them. I got it all working great using the office interop library but used an example word document with some text in it and it worked fine. Now with actual word documents that I need to parse that come in all types of formatting and irregular formats I got it to convert to html all fine. But the actual html when looking at it does not make sense and I am not sure how to parse this. for example:
LsdException Locked="false" Priority="72" Name="Colorful List Accent 5"/>
<w:LsdException Locked="false" Priority="73" Name="Colorful Grid Accent 5"/>
<w:LsdException Locked="false" Priority="60" Name="Light Shading Accent 6"/>

How would I go about modifying the following console application? It calculates resistor color codes and I need it to be able to launch or work directly from a HTML web page. (I'm well aware my calculator can be simplified with case statements and loops, only bother with that if you want to.)
:Module Module1
Sub Main()
Dim tens As Integer
Dim ones As Integer
[code]....

I'm getting really really frustrated with Word's Document Recovery Pane everytime I launch Word - it is making me very mad! I'm busy with a program which assists me with all my exams, right, now, with this program I'm launching each program associated with each exam. After the document / spreadsheet etc. is shown, I mark what I need to, then, I have a button which closes the current process, and returns me to my default application interface.

All this is working, except for the .doc files, Word files.
Everytime I launch word, I get the Document recovery pane.
I've tried the following: [Code]
As a last resort ( and this doesn't work ), because WordDocument.close does not work, Word Application. Quit does not work! By, saying it doesn't work, means it closes everything, yes, but the Document Recovery PAne always shows up, and I can't understand why! Is there some way of disabling it completely
I know some will say it is not a good idea, I know, I know I really need to get rid of it.

The application I support is creating an amalgamted Word document by copying couple of Word documents in one document right after each other. The problem is the format of the some of the fields of the document that gets appended is changed in amalgamated document while the amalgamated document is the copy of AppendDocument (imagine if we have one document to copy in the amalgamated document)

I have a simple HTML viewer and I would like to add the capability of searching an open document for a text value I specify. Below is an example I found on MSDN. VB gives me an error, "Selection" is not a member of "System.Windows.Forms.Application".
Private Sub SelectionFind()
Dim findText As String = "find me"
Application.Selection.Find.ClearFormatting()
If Application.Selection.Find.Execute(findText) = True Then
[code]....
What I would like to search is the content of a WebBrowser control.

I'm wondering if it is possible to scrape information from a word document? For example the word document looks like this:
<b>Make: </b> Audi
<b>Model: </b> A4
<b>Colour: </b> Blue
<b>End</b>
Could i create a simple tool that would be able to read this word document and look for certain text and then capture the text that appears after it?
For example if tell the tool to look for "<b>Make: </b>" and then capture what is entered after it until it reachs "<B>" tag on the next line?
I want to be able to take this info and load it into a datatable and display it in a datagridview.

I am creating a word document which has a table in the header. I want to add a Page x of Y autotext into one of the cells but no matter what I try I cannot seem to work out the syntax.
I tried (among other things)
tblTable.Cell(3, 8).Range.Select()
oWord.NormalTemplate.AutoTextEntries("Page X of Y").Insert(Where:=oWord.Selection.Range)

I'm having some difficulties chopping up a word document. I think the problem may be that it's 900+ pages, but I'm not completely sure.The separate documents within the document file are separated by x of 100 documents. I'm trying to split at the "of 100 documents", however when I try to split the string that I put this word document's contents into, it will only split with the first letter I give. So, when I try to split it by "of 100 documents", it will only split by "o".

I am currently working on a program, that you enter certain values/text in and it organises it into a word document automatically,
I found a code online, which has worked a treat, However I'm wondering what lines of code I would need to:
1. Add Bullets or Numbers
2. Add a new line of text (I can add a new paragraph but I don't want a huge space between the two lines)
3. I have around 20 check box's is there a quicker way to check which are selected then write the text in word or do I have to write alot of If Checkbox1.Checked = True then, etc)

I try to insert formatted text into Word bookmarks. The text comes from several rich text controls (we use TX Text Control) and is appended into a bookmark. The problem is that the tags are written as-is and are not interpreted.
oWord = New Word.Application
Dim strFileName As String = "\...Template.dot"
oDoc = oWord.Documents.Add(strFileName)
[Code].....
I tried with RTF or HTML format for my string but it is the same behavior.
