Jul 21, 2009The Calendar control (the Month Calendar) control in VB 2008. I am creating an attendance timesheet and I want the Calendar to color each date differently like e.g An employee Paul is selected from a list.
On the calendar I select the month. (The dates are not supposed to be selectable). Then lets say it is June. He is late on the 1st and the Second, so those days are supposed to be colored red (the whole block). Let's also say he is absent on the fourth and so I want that date to be coloured black. How do I do this? I tried finding a query and my friend told me that this functionality is not available in the current control and that I was best off making my own control (???).
I have tried selecting specific dates and bolding them (there is a function that allows this) but I am stumped trying to find two different ways to differentiate colours. Second:- How do I link a calendar with an Access Database?

Jul 8, 2009We are working on an asp.net 2.0 web app that emails users an ical to save to their outlook 2003 calendar. We noticed none of the code to update or delete an item seem to work even though the ical 2.0 spec supports it. We are curious if Outlook 2003 just ignores this?Does Outlook 2007 act differently?We have situations where an event may change or be cancelled which fires off an email notification but the updated ical just adds a new event, it nevers deletes and or moves the original.

Apr 9, 2010I'm writing an Windows Form Application and need to add an unbound checkbox to a datagrid.The datagrid displays the fields of an Access 2007 table and I need the checkbox to give the user the option to select/deselect any of the records shown in the datagrid. After the user clicks on a button, the application must read the whole datagrid to detect what records were chosen by the user and process each one accordingly.I tried using TableStyles but as this new column is not part of the database, it won't work.

Jul 12, 2011I want a single EXE file that when opened will show a form with a button. Upon pressing the button, the embedded EXE file will be copied to a folder like C: for example. I tried resources, but I can't get it to work. Is it possible to store the actual EXE inside of the main EXE?
