MDIform contains Form1. Form1's MDIParent is set to MDIform Form1 has a button on click that opens Form2 as a show dialog. I need this Action.Form2 has another button that opens Form3.Is there anyway that I can make Form3's mdiparent the original MDIform by passing Form1.mdiparent value to form2 (without actually setting that value) that then passes it to form3?

Using 2 forms how would I click one button, from another form? ie In VB 4,5,6, I would used to do it as:-

If I clicked the button in form2, it would automaticlly, click the button in form1. Do I, do it the same way in VB Express or has it changed?
I have two forms. Form 1 you click a button, and it opens Form 2. Form 1 is still open.
When you click a button on Form 2, I want to run a Private Sub that is on Form 1, whilst Form 1 is still open.
The idea is that the data i've entered on Form 2, once I close this form, I can continue working with Form 1 with the updated data without having to close and re-open it.

form2 ends up behind form1, how can I make form2 appear in front of form1?
Form2.showdialog() will make form1 disappear until form2 is closed, that is not what I want.
I am having a problem with the form. I want to make that if the form2 close, the form1 will be shown. I've tryed this code but it doesn't work.

form1.show

Last one day I could not manage to pass data from one form2 other form.
When I am opening Form2 from Form1, I can pass data from Form1 to Form2.
When I am closing Form2, I want to pass data from Form2 to Form1 which is still open when I close form2.
I try to use shared textbox, but I understand that this is nt supported.
In my window application, Form1 variable eg. Public str as string. value blank/null when move to Form2 and Back to Form1. How to maintain Form1 varable's value when back to Form1 In vb.net if any one know, reply me soon

I have a Search form where the user can click a Button that opens up a rtb with every single word (12,800+) used in the King James Bible. Every word is Capitalized ("Thankful, Grateful", etc), so in my code, the user selects a word, then right-clicks and sends the word to the TextBoxSearch in lowercase. Now, if the RTBDisplay (where all search results go) is empty, then a msgbox pops up asking if the user would like to re-search the same word in Uppercase. If they click OK then the word in the TextBoxSearch (lets says: "thankful") is supposed to become "Thankful". But instead, the TextBoxSearch goes blank. I have tried many variations of code, and here is my latest (doesn't work):

the second form should open and wait for input.This does not happen, the form flashes and then disappears without allowing any input, or button click.I must admit that I preferred being able to start from a module, with a Main() sub, which then read the forms, a la VB6. everything seemed to work fine then.

I have a panel to form2 on my form1 which displays a picture box fine. I got a peice of code that stores 5 images in an image list and works off a keypress.
When I press the Comma key the image changes to the next one. This works fine on its own but when I put it in form2 and try to put the keypress code on form1 for it to change image in the panel it doesn't work.
I would like to do 2 things (or one of the two)
first, I have in form1 a textbox1 and i would like to bring the info of it to a textbox (or label) in form2
second, If it's possible i would like to set a picture from form1 to form2 (if that's possible)

I thought using a Module would work but I can't get the function on the Module to "see" the formula and/or variables that I need on Form1.vb. I am using VB 2005.
