I have a list box which is containning diffrent groups from database. On the form i have multiple controls like checkboxes, text boxes and so on. Wht i have to do when some one selects a entry from list box the others controsl should be populated from that value. User can edit the data , delete the data and so on.

I am developing a program that makes it easier for users to log on to a website and search for specific data. I have the first portion finished in which I have a form with the Ax Web Browser control.
The web browser control navigates to a local website and automatically logs in for the end user. This is done by using code which automatically fills in the username and password and then submits the form to logon using something similar to this: WebBrowser1.Document.Forms.Item(, 0).elements("txtUsername").value = "user"
Once logged on - there is a search page which contains a combo box and list box. I am trying to set specific values for the combo box and list boxes.For example - the combo box on the website is titled: cbxDate and contains the following values: Today, Yesterday, This Week, This Month.
A list box titled: lstArea contains the following values: Zone A, Zone B, Zone C, All.I am trying to figure out if there is a way through code to select, in this example, "Yesterday" in the cbxDate and "Zone B" in the lstArea on the webpage.If anyone knows of a solution, please feel free to let me know. Be advised that I am using the Ax Web Browser Control.

I've done data binding to my Combos and it works fine but my data base has over 260 000 entries, so I can't let user to move trough it, one by one entry until finds a match.What I am looking for is that user select value from Combo Boxes and Text Boxes get filled in with a matching values from the same row.Auto Complete helps in selection but I still can't work it out how to get values to my text boxes.

I would like to bind textboxes to certain columns from records generated from a stored procedure. The error I receive is "DataMember property 'spCustomerHeader cannot be found on the DataSource". I have no problem returning the data to a datagridview but I need this show this data in textboxes.

there is a tab control system. It relies on only five text boxes, and their bindings change when the tab is changed The relevant information is displayed. However, if I navigate to a different record...You can see that the same information is displayed in the tab control text boxes, and not the employee's details I just selected in the data grid or the navigation. This program is supposed to allow the user to check items in a checked list box. If the item is checked, it goes into the Completed List Box on the right. The program then adds the unchecked items to the Pending list box on the left. I keep getting placement values (e.g. O,1,2) instead of the strings (e.g. "Key Returned") in the list box results (see photo attached)

I need to bind a textblock.text property to a single element in an observable collection, or array element, and have the text update using the INotifyPropertyChanged or INotifyCollectionChanged, whichever is best.
Most examples describe ways to bind listboxes or other list views to entire collections, but my application needs to update several textblocks on a screen depending on notification of a change in one or more elements of an array.

textblock2.Text = MyArray(1)...
textblock3.Text = MyArray(2)...
textblock4.Text = MyArray(3)...
Is it possible to bind a single textblock to a single array element? Is it possible to get notification of the proper type that will update one or more of the textblocks if any assigned element changes?
I'm looking forward to reading and adding more to the community here. I've created a text based rpg. Next semester we are learning Visual Basic. I'm on winter break and I would like to get a head start on my learning. I've been working on creating some forms and message boxes. What is throwing me off, is that I have a good feel for doing coding so that I get functionality the will produce effects in a console. Coding the forms is a bit confusing for me. Is this something that others have run into? Is their some good primers for VB? I don't have my text books yet.
View 10 RepliesI have a grid populated from a list. Now there are particular properties in this list that I don't want displayed on the grid. It displays all of the columns perfectly, then adds 2 others I didn't originally have on the grid when I constructed it in designer mode. I have removed them after the binding with DataGridView.Columns.Remove("ColumName"). However, is there a way to prevent it from adding these beforehand, or is this the only way?

This currently displays four rows of "(Collection)". Is it possible to step into one of these "Collection" rows and display the data? I know that this is possible to do with a list box by binding with a specific element in the collection:

I have a DataRepeater that needs to display individual items from a List (Of T). The missing link between them is a BindingSource component.Everything works fine, i.e., the DataRepeater displays list items correctly, and I can add and delete items, even change using the TextBoxes on the DataRepeater.
The problem is that when I change the value of an item in the code, it doesn't get reflected on the DataRepeater. Only when I click a button on the form which executes this code:myBindingSource.ResetBindings(False)

I am trying to create a WPF browser application that allows you to search and display recipes. The combo box presents choices, the Ingredients display in one list box and the "cooking" instructions appear in the other list box. What's happening is the first time you make a selection from the combobox nothing displays, and this could be happening because the first line of code under Selectionchanged clears the List Boxes however, it should be populating those list boxes with content, shouldn't it? Anyway, as you make other selections List boxes 1 & 2 get populated but they do not match what displays in the Combo box, i.e. if you select "Easy Taco Dip" any random recipe might appear in List Boxes 1 & 2.

When i enter price and quantity i want it to multiply and add one by one and give me the total in a label below...The problem is when I have two or more items in each list box I'm unable to come up with the total.
