I am working on TreeView Control. I want to create Nodes in the Treeview. For this,I have a DataGridView1 table which is having the Data.In this table i want to use First Column Data.
In the first column data the values like 3101,3102,3103....3201,3202...3301,3302,..3401,3402..So i want to create Treeview Nodes like 31 is the Parent Node and under Parent node i want to display 3101,3102,3103..are Chiled Nodes.
I am using data grid view in Windows Form standalone application to display items as excel spread sheet in VB.NET. I got a table named CostTypes with column names [CostTypeID, CostType] and values [1,External] and [2,Internal] (These are constant but more values can be added to table).

I am confused; I am using VB2010, IBM.iSeries.DB2 on an as400 V5R4. I am trying to establish an OLEDB connection, and return the values from the selected table to a DataGridView. I had one of the admin's make me file named GARBAGE, in the Rprtaccess catalog. In the past, I have been able to connect via access and an ODBC connection. My project is too big for access, and the SQL middleware we have is clunky and not user friendly. This is a program that will generate the SQL statements, specifically the WHERE: clause and populate the datagrid with the selected criteria. In essence I am making a user friendly striped down program, that has variables that are manipulated by the end user, and the rest, referenced tables and libraries are coded.

I have a login form that consists of 2 text boxes: txtUser, txtPass. Now these are not bound to any data table & I don't what them to be bound. When a new user enters his user name & password, I want to add these on a data table that has two columns: User, Pass. Data table information: Data Source = Login.accdb, Data table = LoginTable, Connection = LoginCn. I use visual basic 2010. So how do I do this?

I am using a string builder to set up an html table row by row so that it can be emailed. I currently gather my information from the database using a data reader and while dataReader.read, I use stringbuilder.Append to add each cell value to the table.The issue is that after about 200 rows, the html breaks and displays a cell value above the table in the email. I have tried changing the cell padding, but this was not successful.
I am trying to populat a treeview with nodes that are the values of a column in a datatable. I have managed to get the correct number of nodes but the text is not displayed next to the nodes, there is just a 3 shape but the other way round and with square corners shown.
The code is below. I would like to have these parent nodes populated on the form load and then (i think this is what i have read) to be quicker i would like to then load the childnodes once a parent node has been selected, as i don't want to load the whole database on form load or when the form is refreshed.
I'm just starting out at vb.net but have done programming before. i am trying to use a treeview to display information in a seperate table on the same form dependant on which nod of the tree is clicked. Secondly is it possible to import the information from an excel spreadsheet or does the information have to come from an access table.

I bound datagridview to bindingsource. The bindingsource has its datasource a collection Called Rates which is a collection of Rate items. The rate object has a property called VALUE. I need the user to be able to edit different values for the collection; However, on the datagridview, i need to keep displaying on one column called OldValue the existing Rate value before the change while allowing the user to edit that value in a second column called NewValue.
In other terms, One colum OldValue will keep the existing values from the DB before being edited by the user, this column OldValue is readonly. Another column NewValue will display, the 1st time, the old value from the DB (similar to OldValue when we do the Fetch from the DB), but it`s editable column, so the user can modify each value in the column NewValue without overriding OldValue cells. For now, I bound both columns OldValue and NewValue to the same property VALUE of the Rate object,
Let's say, I have something like a table in the WebBrowser component, it's not actually a table, because the data organized in flash, but, it's organized like a table, it has like rows and columns. [code]If I wanted to get Part Name for multiple PartIDs from OrderDetails, how would I go about doing this? Would I use two DataTables? I'm confused as I cannot see an efficient way to do this. The only thing that I can think of is to create a DataTable with SQL:[code]and then maybe use a For loop to take each PartID, create another DataTable to find the PartName for that and then give this to a variable. There could be up to 10 PartIDs to search through and I don't want to have variables such as PartID1 PartID2 etc. [code]

I have a database with values as shown in the attached image "Image1.jpg". There are multiple other columns not shown on the screenshot (over 30), for the sake of this question we'll say I'm interested in columns called "Col1", "Col2", "Col3" & "Col4".

I have been doing some listings from database, from the table "Clients", however, when it arrives to the field "Status", like it was expected, it displays to me numbers (1, 2, 3 or 4) these numbers have a relationship with another table, called "Status", which have: Single, Married, Divorced and Widower (according with those numbers).
So, I'm using a DataSet to list all the field, how can I retrieve the text in the table "Status" according with the IDClient instead of retrieving numbers?
I have a table called Table1 which already has a few other columns and 4 rows. I want to add three new columns to it. When the columns are added I want all the cells in the column to equal the variable I supply in the Add method. My task is, I need to compare the classes in the subject. Sub A with class 1, class 2, class 3 have to compare with Sub B and Sub C. if classes from Sub A exist in Sub B then the output is 0, if not the output is 1. then Sub A again will compare with Sub C and the rest.
