Extract Data From A Webpage?
Mar 1, 2011I have the following code to open a webpage:

Dim x As Integer
Dim c As Variant

The page that opens is in xml and in that xml there is the "page_count" that I need to pick out so I can tell my macro when to stop looping. I have dimmed it as "c" in the code above. Following is the XML.
<search>
<total_items>360</total_items>
<page_size>100</page_size>
<page_count>4</page_count>
Somehow I need c = "4", which is the "page_count". Does anyone know how I can pick out the "4" from the xml on my page?

The above code works fine on most of the websites I have tried to extract page source from but for some reason it is failing to extract the html contents of few websites like these where the message posted by a user is nowhere to be seen? The webpage in question is this: [URL]
Is there something I have missed or is it due to forum protection etc which is preventing the vb application from extracting the whole page source?

May 27, 2009I'm having some trouble. I have an sql statement to update some rows to an Access DB I enter a date like 01/08/2009 (1st Aug 2009) and it saves to my DB as 08/01/2009 (08th Aug 2009 but still 01 Aug if it were mm/dd/yyyy format)

Difference Between 2 Dates
Feb 28, 2012I am trying to find the difference between two dates. The first of the two dates can be changed and when it is changed, the difference between the original dates has to be retained. This means that I have to automatically change the second date to have the same difference in days as it did before, but with a new first date. [code]I have the value of the old date1(currDate) and the new date1 value(newDate). I need to get the difference between these, and then add or minus these days from the endDate.
