Create Different Instances Of A Form?
May 1, 2011The below Code is written inside the Timer Tick event. It works fine as long as the Time and Date are not same. When the Time and Date are same it only displays 1 message. How can I show multiple message for the same date and Time ? I think this can be done If I create different instances for a form. But I don't know how many same time and Date will be there in the database. So I can't do that.

And when I open multiple instances of the form then I need to reference controls on specific instanced of the Form then I dont know how. i.e. I need something like

Jan 21, 2010I have a program with 3 forms; each has a different role behind them. Form 1 loads when the program executes and the other 2 load by clicking on buttons from form 1. I would like to implement a multithreaded approach where even after clicking on form2 and form 3 I can still execute other form 1 options while form2 and form 3 contents execute. I read through some tutorials and still not to sure how to implement. I figured I need to create instances of the forms 2 and 3 but how to call the threads and control them? I did try a simple one and had some error concerning delegates.

Sep 17, 2010I have a TabControl object on my form with many tabs created in code (TabPages) and my problem is that the same objects that are in the initial TabPage needs to be in the other TabPages created in code, I have this done in code when the user clicks the 'New Tab' menu option, however the same code is used for any new tabs created. The problem created here is that I have an event against one of the objects that appear in the other TabPages, but because the same code is used to create any new tab pages, the event will only work on the newest tab page, if that makes sense? By the way these objects that appear on the other TabPages are properties at the top so events can be handled against them in the respective subroutine.

Creating A Proxy For IE (or Other Browsers)
Apr 2, 2011I'm using VB.net. I need to create an application that sits in between the browser and the actual internet. Basically, I'm creating an online game that will edit some webpages that are incoming so that they contain parts of the game (it's a kind of scavenger hunt). How would I create this?
Does anybody have any ideas for this? I've found nothing online. If you do know something about this, I prefer code examples and not just subjects. I tend to need big pushes in a direction to learn something new.

Dec 18, 2009I have an application I made to monitor IP cameras. Right now I just have a button for each camera, so that when they want to swithc to that camera, all the user has to do is click the button to switch to that camera.What I would like to do is set it up so that I have multiple web browsers on the form, each one for a camera. However, the problem is that the actual video feed is in a small section of the web page, so the user would have to scroll to the right position for each web browser to be able to see the video feed.What I want to do is configure it so that when the page loads, it automatically scrolls to the right position so the user can see the camera feed for each camera (each in it's own independent browser) without having to adjust each browser.

Jan 14, 2011I seem to be drawing a blank. I'd like to create a "shared" variable that is shared with all instances of a class but not classes that inherit from it. For example.Class A: Shared list As New List(Of String): list.Add("A")
Class B Inherits A: list.Add("B")Class C Inherits B: list.Add("C")The end result I'd like is that any instance of A has just A in the list. Any instance of B has A and B in the list. Any instance of C has A, B, and C in the list. I can accomplish it by creating Instance variables, but I have to construct the list for each instance of a class. I'd like to construct it once for a specific point in the Hierarchy and then share it accross other instances of that class.

Nov 24, 2009So I wrote a program, which goes thru the authentication of a website, using a 'webbrowser' element within the program, however, when I want to open a page in an other browser e.g.: Firefox after I went thru with the Auth. in the application , it seems as there have been no authentication at all.
Do I need to set something with the cookies? Or how would firefox know that I am already logged on on another browser? all is in Visual Basic 2008.

I want them both to be able to login to a site....say for example facebook with separate/different accounts and show the appropriate account info in the appropriate browser. I've found out how to login to a website with GetElementById, but I have another problem. I need to login with multiple web browsers. But when I login on the second, I can't because the session/cookie is already there. I thought usnig a proxy would work, but that just applies to both web browsers. Using the example below, would it be possible to apply this to only one web browser? Or make separate sessions for each web browser control?
