View 1 RepliesI have a form with a Textbox, RichTextBox, and a CopyToolStripButton.When I select text in the TextBox control, I can right click the mouse to get a menubox (cut, copy, paste, delete, select all) but when I select text in the RichTextBox and right click the mouse I do not get a menubox.Is this simply a difference in the controls, or do I need to enable a property on the RichTextBox to get this functionality?
This difference between Textbox and RichTextBox is evident even without the CopyToolStripButton code, so I am guessing it might have something to do with inherent or default properties of the controls themselves.At any rate,I would like to get this funcionality for the RichTextBox control as well.
I created a form to capture a user name and password.I thought it would be nice, during the form load event, for me to put the windows username in the name field for them in case they were the same.When I do this the name appears selected/highlighted.I didn't expect this to be the default but it seems to be.I then use select(0, 0) to remove the selection I didn't want in the first place and try to move the focus down to the password field but it doesn't work.Can someone tell me if the text being automatically selected is normal and why I can't change focus to the password field.[code]

View 2 RepliesOk, now I have another problem that I cant seem to figure out I now have the "Labour charge section" just incase the service requires one. which in alot of cases it does. So, I have a test box called text box 1, which I want to be able to insert "hours worked" which is a "digit" and then Have a fixed value, of five. Which the user can later change. The number from the box, and the user specified Hourly charge, must then be multiplied to create the total labour charge which will be inserted into a label view. So, my question first, is, how would the user be able to set the hourly charge and then not be able to change it by accident. I was thinking of having a tool strip with an options tab and then setting, and then you use that to fill the info, and have that hourly charge, hidden of the actuall form so that it cant be changed by mistake. Then, on to of that, how would you multiply these two numbers?
