Saving Data From A Data Grid To An Access Database (2008 Express)?
May 18, 2010I'm trying to create a simple Data Grid that will automatically save changes. So far I have a data grid connected to a MS Access 2007 Database that reads the data. I can create new fields in the Data Grid, but I need to program to save the data automatically to the database on update (or on close).

It is an inventory program I am doing on the side just to keep track of a small number of supplies, I want to be able to enter a barcode and have the program see if it already is in the inventory database, if not, it will allow me to enter information and add it to the database (That part works - Thanks to member on D.I.C.) If the barcode exists, I want it to fill the form with all the data from the database and allow me to update fields such as date used and used definition

Dec 14, 2009I know how to pull data from an access database and place it into a combobox, but I am trying to make certain that I dont have multiples of the same information.
Like one column is for countries of origin.
United States
Canada
Mexico
In the combo box, it should only list the United States only once, not multiple times.

Nov 5, 2011Ok I can successfully connect to my Access database but I am still learning on how to output that data. Here is the run down.I am designing a page where the user inputs the customer ID and then gets a list of incidents for that customer. Then I would like the user to be able to add a survey about the incident.Problem I am running into is the ability to display this data. I have tried various method. Eventually I want to be able to display the data into a listbox and have them select it and take the survey but I am not near that far yet. Linking A Data Source (Access 2007 Database) To A VB 2008 Project
Feb 1, 2011After trawling around the net for a good few days, i decided to post something here.
Basically, i've got a problem linking a data source (Access 2007 database) to a VB 2008 project.
I've broken it down to having a problem dragging a table onto my form, when it generates the nav bar, it says "0 of {0}", and the table is empty (despite the actual database containing values)
However, this happens only at home, at college it works totally fine. The only difference that's obvious is that i'm using Windows 7 at home, and Windows XP at college.

Access Database To Hold Data For VB App?
May 3, 2010I have a bit of a problem. I am using an Access database to hold data for my VB app. In the VB app, I have a data source thats pulling data from the database.
I modified the database today, deleted some tables, added another one, but the data source in the project window does not show these updated changes. I had to reconfigure the datasource with the wizard to get the changes to update.
Is there a way that i can get the data source to update itself when the form loads?
