IDE :: VS2010 Service Attaching To A Remote Debugger Symbols Will Not Load To Set A Breakpoint

I have a Vb.Net 4.0 Windows Service.The service is setup to run in DEBUG with generate debug set to pdb-only. Configuration is set to debug.Installer project is set to DEBUG. VS IDE is set to debug.I do a clean build and clean install of the DEBUG version.
I run x64msvsmon.exe on remote machine (W2008 R2 64bit).I attach to the process via workstation (XP PRO 32bit) in VS2010 without issue.Everything is set to debug but I get the infamous message breakpoint will not currently be hit, no symbols are loaded.

I had gotten a whole new application off of another computer and when I run the project, it runs fine and also breaks at the specified break points. But any new code that I put in, at the break point it doesnt break. When I hoover over the red circle it says " The breakpoint will not currently be hit. No symbol have been loaded for this document." I was reading the other threads similar to this problem but did not solve the problem Are there

I have an existing VB6 application which permits two or more users to work with local relicated MS Access databases. At start-up and shut down the local database synchronize with the master database (if the network permits dialogue) using
mDb1.Synchronize etc.
I am trying to port the application over to VS2010 and I cannot find anything equivalent to permit occasional synchronizing of various replicated MS Access databases with the master database (again, if the network permits contact between the two machines). Has anyone found a way of doing this for Access databases (not SQL Server databases)?
Works fine in VB6 but VS2010 has me beaten at the moment.

I have a solution with number of projects developed in Visual Studio 2005 and the breakpoint is not working displaying message 'the breakpoint will not be currently hit' No symbols have been loaded for this document. I have tried solutions/suggestions in the forum and none is working. I have deleted the obj and bin directories and nothing worked. Selecting the Debug Menu, Windows, Modules option I can only see the pdb files for some projects (dlls) and cannot see for the project I'm debugging.

I cannot load my solution which includes a .RPTPROJ for the reports development.
The .RPTPROJ project is not recognized.Does anyone know why? And please don't say "It doesn't because it is not supported".
If it is not then Why?Are we to wait for the next SQL release? Isnt there a plugin to support .rptproj?
Apparently i need to run vs2005 (or 2008) to support the reports while running vs2010 for program development.
Is there already a plugin or patch? Does vs 2010 (vb.net) support the report viewer object?
Does vs 2010 (vb.net) even support .rdl files?
I am developing against sql server 2005 as this is the clients version.

I am currently updating an application from Vs2005 to Vs2010. I'm having an issue rendering the report viewer (using SSRS 2k5) in the browser.When the report is loaded, I get bombarded with popups that say "Unable to load control". After all the popups, the report eventually load (thank god for firefox's prevent additional popup checkbox), yet none of the buttons work (each button causes the popup).

I'm using asmx web service to lock a folder on remote computer! When I run web service on local machine everything working fine, but when I run it on remote computer nothing happen, folder on remote computer stay unlock! But after I created the installer and give to final users to install they can not connect to the web service.

I put together a small app I want to use on my local network for service monitoring across a few of my servers.
I'm using vb.net express 2010 with system.serviceprocess imported The problem I am having is that my code only seems to work locally, and will not retrieve the service data for any server on my network.
For example, my local machine is called "office-pc", and when running the app on it, I get all the service information.

But, if I want the service info from my web server called "casper", I use the same code, but i change the GetServices() parameter like so;

After a few seconds delay, nothing happens, ComboBox2 remains empty.
It was my understanding that GetServices() would get the local machines service info unless a machine name was specified, which in both cases is true.
So why isn't it working? Do I need to set something up on the network servers first?

I am writing a vb.net client application that uses a web service to connect to the remote database.So far I am able to connect to the web service and read, add new and delete data from the database. I am having a hard time updating data.
I have a datagridview control that is bound to a dataset retrieved from the remote database using the web service.When a record is edited in the datagridview control, I need the dataset that is bound to that control to be updated and then that updated dataset to be sent to the webservice to update the remote database.
My client code in the btnUpdate_Click event

I've got a webservice called Converter.asmx and I've just noticed that on the remote server I basically can't connect to it. The error that I get: "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:49792" and the error occurs where I'm calling the web service (second line below).

I have to admit that I was sceptical it would work... but below is the code. I had to make a minor change to the code you suggested. Whenever I tried IPC$ it would return a 53 result code, even though I'm sure the share exists. So at the suggestion of another website I removed the share and just the computer name and this worked.

I am connecting to a web service that returns a dataset that I use as a datasource for a windows client datagridview.
Once a user has made changes to the datagridview record(s), how do I get those changes back to the connected dataset and back to the remote database.

1. Can I include a database in an exe file? - I am trying to create a small launcher application which contain 10-20 IP addresses with name, addresses, phone and email for people I help out on a regular basis. I would prefer if I could have the DB containing this info included in my launcher app, so I could carry it around on a USB stick.
2. How do I get mstsc.exe (remote desktop) to launch with an IP address from my DB above?- In my small app I am trying to add a launch button for each person. So if I am helping "person1", then I click the button next to him, and it launches my remote desktop of PC Anywhere to his IP address....
My initial thought was to use an ini file with my exe file, and modify the ini file with data through the app, but I want to be sure that there is no way I can include this information in the exe file.As I want to be able to change the connection information through my app interface I reckon I am forced to use either a SQL DB or some sort of file DB right?

I'm trying to write a simple load tester for one of our web services, which is served through IIS7. I'm launching a load of threads (as Tasks) that call the web service as a Web Reference.Despite the threads all starting, only 2 concurrent connections from the app can be handled by the web service. I'm aware that by specification simultaneous connections are limited to 2 per user. For the sake of this load tester, which I guess is one user, I would like to open many simultaneous connections.I have tried to add the following to the web.config of the web service.

Recently working in vb 2010 express. I'm using service-based database which is based on SQL Server. This database will be deployed at the server. Is it possible that multiple vb.net programs, which are installed in remote computers or client computers in the same network, connect to this database simultaneously? Does the service-based database support multiple connections?
