1. How do I change the colour of the text I am entering. i.e. if the letter entered by the user IS in the word, then I want to make that text appear green in the other textbox, "guessed letters"
2. I also want to know how to mask and unmask certain characters at will. i.e. when the user guesses a letter, the program checks to see if the character is in the predefined word. If it is, then I want it to unmask that letter on the label, "Word Label". I also want the program to start with the word already masked.
3. How do I take a random word from a text file for the user to guess?. I have a text file with all the words of the dictionary on a new line.
Here's the mediafire link to my project: [URL]. (The dictionary text file is included)
First I am using 'Microsoft Visual Studio 2010' and am making a 'windoms forms application'. I am wishing to implement a way of changing the text colour through out the whole application. I have managed to put on a customisable background using

I know I'll have to change the 'BackColor' bit but I don't know what to. Is there something that turns all text on the form one colour or do I have to do it label by label?
Also I am can't figure out how to rotate labels to display text at a 60 degree angle (to display along the edge of an equilateral triangle) And for the triangle I have drawn it using lines which move independently from each other, is there anyway to 'group' these lines together so they are fixed.

I have created a program that Draw a circle and then you can move it around a picturebox. I have made code so that it changes colour but instead of changing the colour of the circle already been drawn it creates a new circle which when you overlap the original circle with the new circle it cuts part of it.So what I wanted it to do when I change the colour of the circle it changes the colour of the circle already been drawn instead of creating a new circle.
[Code]...
Also I can't use the X and Y coordinate input to move the circle to the entered coordinates.

View 1 RepliesIs there a way to animate a TextBlock's colour change?
At the moment I am basically using the enter/leave events to change the colour and I would like to a almost like a fade (but a fast fade, so .1/.2 secs) to give it a nicer visual appearance instead of being instantaneous.
ps. Due to constraints, the actual code is vb.net but I will accept c#.net answers as I can read both fine. Just learning WPF.
Ok so i have a form of witch the user is able to change the background image of. The form has labels on it. How can i make the fore colour change to be if possible the opposite colour to the image where the label is in order to make it readable?

View 5 RepliesI am working with cases, I'm only learning it so far, but just can't get a drop down menu to work that would change the background of a Textbox.
Private Sub cbColours_SelectedIndexChanged(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles cbColours.SelectedIndexChanged
Select Case colours
Case Is = "Red"
txtSpace.BackColor = Color.Red
[Code] .....
It isn't doing anything at all...
In the dropdown menu, it has
Red, Blue and Green one per line
When the value (e.g. Green) is clicked, it will then change the Textbox to the colour selected.

I am making a program in VB.NET and need to hide the Caret in textboxes.
I could live with it being either completely hidden or just the same colour as the textboxes background colour. How can I go about doing this? I would prefer to stay away from Custom Controls if at all possible.
How do you change the colour of the labels(not sure what the correct name is) in a Microsoft Chart Control in VB.
By "labels" I mean the text that is overlaid on every column in a StackedColumn chart.
You can change the Axis labels with the following:
<AxisY LineColor="Red">
<LabelStyle ForeColor="Red" />
</AxisY>
[Code].....
What is the equivalent to target the labels?
