Make A New Tab Create A Tabpage With A Web Browser?
Mar 18, 2011
I create a tabbed web browser, when it loads it has two tabs, one is the main tab with web broswer, the second one is a new tab option when its clicked it creates a new tab. but it has no web browser.this is the code for the new tab.[code]
I am using System.Windows.Forms.TabPage to store an entire TabPage for later use in My.Settings. Here is a brief description of the application.
I have a TabControl that has 3 tabs. One for user input, another tab for equipment settings, and then a final tab for Oven settings. On the user input tab, if the user de-selects the checkbox for Oven, the oven tab is saved to My.Settings and hidden.
I can then run the application without oven control. After running, lets say the user would like to re-run, this time with the oven. They go back to the input tab and re-select the Oven checkbox. However, the Oven tab doesn't re-appear. When stepping through the code, the is nothing stored in My.Settings for the oven tab page. Why not?
Also, I can open the application, and check, then uncheck the oven checkbox and the tab is hidden, then returns. I can do this all day. However, after running the tab will not return.
Dear ALLCould you please tell me:How to save a TabPage that has ListBox Items ?How to load a TabPage that has ListBox Items ?Or only saving & loading ListBox Item
Im using VB2005 express and the app im creating uses the web browser control.Basically I want to know if its possible to make the web browser control connect through a different ip address and port from your default web browser.
In Vb.Net 2005, how is it possible to make the TabPage.Text to appear when the DrawMode of a TabControl is set to OwnerDrawFixed. I have even tried to set the TabPage.Text in the Form_Load event but of no avail.
I have VB 2008 Express and I am also new to VB. My problem is I cannot find any assistance with creating an Event that is attached to a Control that I inserted on a dynamically creeated TabPage. I call the "create_tab" sub (below) that creates a New TabPage and add some Controls (Button, two textboxes). Now, that I have the TabPage (and there could be multiple), I want to bind an Event to these items. So when a user Clicks on the Button in TabPage1, for example, a Sub executes where I can manipulate the data contents of the textboxes. Here's My code that creates the tabpages dynamically.
I coded a web browser over the course of a year called Nova - very advanced with tabbed browsing, bookmarks, homepage, history, etc etc etc etc. I could go on all day about how advanced it is. But.. there is one flaw. You cannot make it the default browser; I don't know the code!I already know the CommandLineArgs stuff so it actually opens the HTML file rather than just opening the program; in fact, I already can make files open with Nova completely. It's just the other stuff - you know, when a website is to be opened from a help file or something, it opens with Nova, Windows recognises it as the default browser, stuff like that.
Other topics around the Internet are all unfinished topics, so I'll ask this myself. How do I set a self-made browser as the default browser? I know it has something to do with accessing the registry and checking what the value is in some places, but I'm not quite sure. Now, I've made this browser called Nova;
very well coded and advanced, tabbed browsing, bookmarks, homepage, history, can change default search provider, uses Gecko as its engine so it's not just an IE shell, etc. It's been developed over the past year and will still continue to be developed. I'm almost ready to release the first version - but I just need this annoyance solved.
How do I make my web browser made in visual basic the systems deafult web browser, as well how do I make a feature that checks that the program is the deafult browser.

I have a tabpage. And I have a combobox in it.When I hover my mouse over it, my tabpage's paint function runs. Why?The Combobox has no functions handled. It is just a Combobox.I move the combobox out of the tabpage, and now the tabpage won't paint when I hover my mouse over the combobox. Weird..

I Try so many times to change TabPage Size and Form Size when I shif from One TabPAge to another, This because every TabPAge consist of defrent volume of control which need to enlarge and reduce the size. But I couldn't make it.
winforms .net 3.5 Ultrawingrid 9.2 In my subclass of Ultrawingrid.Ultragrid :
[Code]...
This works fine. But when the grid is dropped on a TabControl tabpage, the ctrl-tab looks very different to the sub above. e.keycode is seen as controlkey {17} I realize that by default cntrl-Tab moves between tabpages. I need to override this behavior. My thought is I probably need a subclass of the tabControl which will pass the keycombo through just as the form does but I confess to being clueless as to how to accomplish that. I tried to override the onkeydown of a tabcontrol subclass and just issuing a return and not and base call to onkeydown if the ctrl-tab combo was pressed but it seemed to see the e.keycode as controlkey as well.
I'm making a small web browser to put in a program. Basically its a tab control and a button atm, when the buttons pressed it uses the code below to add a new tab and make the tab a web browser. [code] What I want is when I navigate to a web page for the tab name to be the title of the web page (instead of tabpage1, tabpage2 etc). I was told to put the below code in the web browser navigated sub but seeing as that sub isn't available because there isn't a browser in there until its running I have no where to put the code. [code]
-How to use my own browsing history (without adding pages to history of IE)
-How to zoom in and out a page
-How to make my browser remember last page [ before closing (something like a autosaving/opening txt file)
-How to copy Project .exe file and make it work on other pc's (because copying C:Documents and SettingsuseraccMy DocumentsVisual Studio 2008ProjectsProject nameProject nameinDebug doesnt [maybe because framework or something isn't installed in other pc] please explain)
-How to copy with my own button (form selected text in webbrowser) ?
-How to get the icon of Website to a picturebox ( or to webbrowser icon )
Basically I want to make a Web Browser in VB in which will load up websites, let me login, etc.... but I want to make it change what I see visually on my computer, not the site itself, but what I see when a site is loaded.
Like say I know a website that has spelling errors and code errors and stuff, then I can code for my browser to change those words automatically as the page is loaded, but also being able to login on the website and everything still.
I don't know if this is possible, and I know it's like kind of possible for IE itself with stuff like GreaseMonkey for IE, and the same for FireFox, so how to build an VB app which will do this either directly in IE or from within my own custom VB app?
I actually know do webbrowser but what i need is :
-How to use my own browsing history (without adding pages to history of IE)
-How to zoom in and out a page
-How to make my browser remember last page [ before closing (something like a autosaving/opening txt file)
-How to copy Project .exe file and make it work on other pc's (because copying C:Documents and SettingsuseraccMy DocumentsVisual Studio 2008ProjectsProject nameProject nameinDebug doesnt [maybe because framework or something isn't installed in other pc]
-How to copy with my own button (form selected text in webbrowser) ?

I've been reviewing some tutorials but can't seem to find the answer(s) I'm looking for.
I have a "Browse" button and I need it to open up a file browser. The trick is this: When the user finds the file and "opens" it, I want ALL the forms in my project to "remember" the filepath and filename of the file they chose.
Do I do this by storing the filepath/filename into a Public String variable and the other forms can access/refer to the main form's String?
I am a beginer and I am trying to create a simple web browser using Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition.
Public Class Form2 Private Sub Button3_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs)
[Code].....
As you can see from the above code I do not have forward, back and stop buttons. Thats because I do not need them. The browser will be configured to go to a certain website directly.
What I need is this browser should be configured to use specific JRE. That is the browser should use ONLY JRE 1.3.1 or ONLY JRE 1.4.2
I am trying to create a Web Browser with tabs. Here is my code so far:
Public Class Form1 Private Sub NewTabToolStripMenuItem_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles NewTabToolStripMenuItem.Click
