How do I make a new playlist and play it in Windows Media Player from VB 2005? This is what I have thus far. I do not know how to dimension "player":

I made a simple test project where it is only the AxWindowsMediaPlayer1 on the form, and it launches a playlist (*.wpl file) but between each item it is very laggy and my mouse hangs up until it is done transitioning.
It is running on a Core 2 Duo, and the items in the playlist are only images... and there is no other software on my Dev pc (Win 7) other than Visual Basic 2008.
I did notice that running the playlist in WMP did the same thing. Does anyone else experience this same thing?

I have read through quite a few tutorials and videos and I am building my application quite good now, I have a webbrowser control that has a bunch of links from my website (MP3 files) now, how would I open a link and play it in my inbuilt MP3 player? When I click a link it plays in windows media player.. I want it to play the file in my app. I have a Webbrowser, a windows media player and listview, basicly I want to add the mp3 to open in the listview and be able to play it in my player, how is this possible?

Ok I'm making a media player using a listbox, but when I added an Item to the listbox it would display as a URL, so I decided to make a mediaplayer playlist instead then when I add a new song it would put the title of the song in the listbox but I have an issue, when I goto switch the song in the listbox, it shuts down with an error.

I guess this is a reference issue, but I have added references to WMP libraries (axinterop.wmplib.dll and interop.wmplib.dll). The WMP works on the XP machine, but not when called from my application.I have searched the web now for 5 days and changed references, and reinstalled the media player on the XP machine, but nothing works.

I cant get it to work.
I have 64bit windows, but the app im developing needs to work of 32bit (and 64 bit if possible). also windows 7.
I added a new form and tried to drag the windows media player component onto the form and it showed an error and would not add it to the form it said.

The weird thing is if i open a new project ad=nd add the wmp control to the form it works and debuig runs fine too!
I inserted wmp active x some buttons for my online streaming links and i created a button for fullscreen.

View 2 RepliesI have a form with the WMPLIB embedded in the form. I cycle through music files ripped with WMP and some of them I get a media error, but it doesn't indicate what the error is. How do I find out what is wrong with the rip? I am using VB.NET. I use: [code] to load the file. Most of the files play fine, but some do not. I have set an error trap sub but how do I tell what is wrong with the file?

"Before you begin burning a CD, you must first call QueryInterface through an IWMPCdrom pointer to retrieve a pointer to the IWMPCdromBurn interface. I do not see any queryinterface iniwmpcdrom properties and vb.net doesn't support pointers.. so not sure what to do Does anyone have any samples?
