PowerPacks - GUI For A Game - When Start Program It Renders The Board From Right To Left On The Screen

So i am working on a GUI for a game (just some messing around in VB.net tho) and i came across the following problem. The board of my game consists of a 70*35 grid of RectangleShapes on which i can move around. When i start my program it renders the board from right to left on the screen and i have serious lag when i try to move around on it. I know you'd normally use double buffering to reduce flickering, but that didn't do anything (unless i'm doing it wrong).

I am trying to do a game application similar to chess, where i need to move the game peaces(graphics) over another graphics which is the game board. using the mouse. I am making a variation of the board game Trivial Pursuit. I am having trouble moving my piece around the board. The board is a circle divided into 32 squares, that are coloured. I am wondering how to get the players pawn to move around the board if it is a circle. They have to move according the the number they role on the dice. I'm in the process of making board game created into a pc game. It will be a 2-d basic board game. What I'm looking for, how to move pixels a certain space. I'm not all certain on how the game is played but right now I'm just wondering how to move a picture certain number of spaces. This will most likely be based on a dice roll I'll create later.

I searched for a little and could not find the information I was looking for. One question I have is, will I need a server if there will only be 2 players. the rules are that same coloured blocks of two or more can be removed by clicking on them. blocks then slide down from above. if a column is empty columns other columns move in from the sides.when someone clicks on the green blocks in the bottom row the columns should slide in from the sides. columns to the left of the black line slide right and on the right of the black line slide left. so in this case only the two rightmost columns should slide from the right to the black line after removing the green blocks.The problem i am having is in designing a suitable algorihm to do the collapsing after the removal. my current approach is to test each column from left to right to see if it is empty. if it is empty then i slide whatever column is to the left (if left of the black line) or to the right (if to the right of the black line) over the blank column and repeat this in the direct i am sliding from

I'm trying to teach myself how to create a Random Number Generator in Visual Basic 2008 using a menu system and I'm having difficulty with the following:
If I type in a number above 100, I don't get a message appearing saying that the number that I typed is too high.I don't know what I need to code to start a new game.How do I get messages to show up when both pressing the "Check Me" button and using the "Give Me the Number" option to say whether the answer is correct or too high or too low.[code]...

i have 2 windows machines with VB 2008 installed on both. I created a windows app on 1 machine and put the powerpacks dll file with the app folder anyway. For some reason, when i load the project up on my other machine, i just get a never ending list of errors related to PowerPacks. Why? I have exactly the same version installed and tried download the PowerPacks on Windows website. I just get over 102 errors saying Type 'Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.LineShape' is not defined. Anyone care to enlighten me?

I have to make a bouncing ball game application. all the code is given to me except for code to move the paddle left and right, and code to start the game. i have to write an if...then statement in a keydown event handler that tests whether the user presses the s key. i then have to add an elseif statement that tests whether the user pressed the left-arrow key and whether the paddle's horizontal position (rectangleX) is greater than zero. if the paddle's horizontal position equals zero, the left edge of the paddle is touching the left wall and the paddle should not be allowed to move farther to the left( i am not sure how to do this part). if the conditions are true in the if then statement, the paddle's x-position should decrease by 10. then i need an elseif statement that tests whether the right arrow key is pressed and whether the paddles x-coord is less than the width of the form minus the width of the paddle. if it equals out the paddle should not be allowed to move farther right. if both conditions are true the paddles x-coordinate is increased by 10

I would like to display 2 forms side by side. Frm1 will call Frm2. The problem is, if Frm1 is too near the edge of the computer screen, when Fr2 is shown, part of it will be outside the screen. How do I make it so that if Frm1 is near the right-side of the screen then Frm2 will show on the left-side of Frm1 and vise-versa?

I'm using iTextSharp to print a PDF document. Everything goes ok until I have to print the company logo in it. First I noticed that the logo had poor quality, but after testing with several images, I realize that was the iTextSharp rendering it poorly.The test I did to say this was to print the PDF using my code and then edit the document with Acrobat 8.0 and I drew an image. Then printed the two documents and saw the noticeable difference.My question is that if anyone know if this can be due to a scaling problem where I'm failing to tell iTextSharp how it must render the image or is an iTextSharp limitation.

On programming assignment without having any real experience in vb. I guess I don't understand subroutines that well. When the program runs it never goes to the computer's turn and does not update the users score either. This assignment is already in but would like to know what is going wrong. I creating a dice game with VB 2008 and am having some problems with control features.When the game starts I'd like the controls to be disable until the user formally selects a NewGameButton.Also, during the game the user gets 3 chances to roll the dice before they select a check box for the type of score they want. They cans select a score at any time during the 3 rolls. I disable the selected score with an AcceptScoreButton, but I can't figure out how to limit there score selection to 1 checkbox per roll session. I wanted to make a screen recorder (not screen capture) program, but I am not entirely sure how to get it started. I have seen many videos and things on how to make one, but all of these just take multiple pictures and then don't compile them into a movie file, and I don't want to take many pictures (unless that is the only way possible.) I am using Visual Basic 2010 Express and I have looked at the Windows Media Encoder, but I can't seem to figure out how to use/implement it (yes, I have downloaded and installed it.) Maybe I can use some kind of ActiveX control?
