View 3 RepliesI wrote a web application(website) for a company using vb.net 2008 in VB.NET and asp.net and , so now i want to create a "Setup Project" trying to make it an installation package.according some online source i did: click "File"on the main menu, then, new project> web setup project>ok , then select webapplication folder However, when I tried to "Add -> Project Output", the "Add Project Output Group" dialog box shows up empty. There is nothing showing up in the drop-down list. According to a VB.NET book as well as some online tutorial, there are supposed to be stuff in the drop-down list showing the types of projects.

Its based around space invaders and works quite well. however because i have finished my college project almost 2 weeks ahead of the assignments release date, my tutor has asked me to tweak my project and make it better.So far i have added a full main menu to the game and a full splash screen. i have me a database (.sdf) which loads its records into a listview. One of the database, due its size, takes some time before everything is loaded. I'm using cursor.wait atm, but it I guess there's a more professional approach.

I am trying to use the background worker to keep my application responsive during the calculations it does. All I need is one to calculate and the other to count time which I use a timer for. But when I try to use a progress bar as well as I want to see the progress it gives me an InvalidOperationException: Cross-thread operation not valid: Control 'ProgressBar1' accessed from a thread other than the thread it was created on. I need this to work, how could I use a component from outside the background worker? This is the background worker bit:

And w_setfocus is run on form1_load. The problem is, the form then never shows up.
I am using VBNET2008 to develop a Application using FORM and the Logic using FOR LOOP. Within FOR LOOP logic to fill the Form TextBox from DataSet and also to Fill ProgressBar Progress. Apparently Within the FOR LOOP the FORM TextBox and ProgressBar1 is not filled.

I was able to make my progress bar transparent, and I have a textbox, I want to see what's in the textbox behind the progress bar, but the progress bar it's not not showing it.
ProgressBar1.BackColor = Me.BackColor
me.backcolor = transparent
The color of my progressbar is not using the color i set in the forecolor property.
I am using windows 7 and I'm pretty sure this is the problem.
