Dynamic GridView - Insure The Input For The Textboxes Is An Integer
Dec 17, 2009I have a web page with 5 checkboxes and 2 textboxes per checkbox. When the user checks one or more checkboxes the corresponding textboxes become enalbed for UI. I need to insure that the input for the textboxes is an integer-that I will do with a validators. There is a gridView on the same page. When the user checks one or more checkboxes the 2 columns of the gridView rows become active for input through enabled textboxes.
There are 4 columns in the grid. The minimum number of rows enabled are 2 and the maximum are 26. The UI for the grid's textbox input is numbers. Those numbers have to be equal to or less than the total. How do I validate UI of numbers(integers) into the grid's dynamically generated textboxes and then add the total and compare it to the alloted total? I prefer to do this with the code behind - using VB.NET - rather than with ASP.NET or absolutely not javascript.

Dec 31, 2011I want to be able to drag data from one DGV to another. When the drag is completed, I want the backcolor of the cell that the data was taken from to change to red. I will add a "trash" icon that will accept a drag and drop from the 2nd DGV to remove the data from its respective cell. Finally, when the cell is trashed, the corresponding cell from the first DGV will return to it's normal backcolor. My application is going to be used to schedule clients with employees for a home health care business. The reason I want all of this is so the user has a visual aid to show them that times have been used already to avoid double staffing. i also have to figure out how make all of this unique to each client when flipping through the DGV/binding source.

Each time I click the button the text box number should decrease by 1 until it hits 20 then when the button is clicked nothing happens. Dec 12, 2009I'm making an application with a custom progress bar (picture box) using the formula
pbxProgress.Width = (intValue / intMax) * pbxBar.Width
where pbxBar.Width is the maximum length.Along with that, I'm using another formula to change the RGB color of pbxProgress while it increases. I'm using:
pbxProgress.BackColor = Color.FromArgb(0, 0, (intColor / 255) * 650)
I came to that last number; 650, by guessing and checking. If I use that number, the RGB increases perfectly with the value of the progress bar so that it ends up being at 255 when the bar is completely full. The only trouble is, I'm not sure how I got that number, and I would like to make a more general formula for future use.

May 20, 2009I'm attempting to use a ProgressBar to show while I'm loading a database. The table I'm loading isn't exceptionally large (about 7900 records), but my program nevertheless takes 39 seconds to load it! I think this is a little too long for a wait cursor, but I'm having problems figuring out how to use the ProgressBar properly.
I would show you what I've got in the way of code, but I trashed it (accidentally) and would like to start over the right way. Please just point me to some tutorials that make sense (if possible) or any code snippets, etc.P.S. I'm loading the database from a button_click event on my main form, which (eventually) raises my 2nd form which has the database displayed in a datagridview control.

Oct 14, 2010I have a form called frmReport and on this form a user makes selections and clicks the "btnBuild" button which in turn creates a crystal report and displays it. However sometimes this process can take some time to build the report. So I placed a panel control along with a progress bar to let the user know that the system is working. However when the form runs the progressbar does not run until the last few seconds before the report is displayed. how to get the progressbar to "run" while the report is building ? (The progress bar is set to marquee.)
