Pushing A List Of Colors Into Colordialog.customcolors?
Aug 7, 2009
I have a list of colors i.e.: "1323523, 12342, 2354, 356234, 234234"Each of these numbers stand for a color. I would like it so that when there is colordialog.showdialog, this list of colors shows up in the colordialog custom boxes. This is how i am doing it currently, but for some reason the customcolors are not being added. i know for a fact that my array is good because i checked it.
I can get the custom colours used in the ColorDialog (vb.net) by using yColorDialog.CustomColors, which will return me an array of colours as integer values
Is it possible to Insert text with different color in the same list box ? For example , the contents of the list box could be :Line 1Line 2Line 3Line 4
How can I display a color dialog with a list of known web colors for the user to choose? E.g. black white dimgray gray darkgray silver etc. I need to display ALL web colors
This is a WinForms Application in VB. In my application I am trying to make it easier for the user to pick out items in a list quickly based on the items text color.. So I am trying to assign the color to each item using a select case statement as below... The problem is that I am getting an error saying "Public member 'Attributes' on type 'String' not found." VB flags the lines with the Attribute.Add param with this error.. Here is the code that I currently have...
For Each u In _units _counter += 1 u_lookupNumber_box.Items.Add((Convert.ToString(u.UnitId)) + " - " + (Convert.ToString(u.perMonthCost)))
[Code].....
I did notice that when I did the .attributes part when I hit "." and typed "att" it did not appear in the intelisense box in vb.. Which makes me think I need to assign the name "attributes" somehow to the dropdownbox first.. It should be noted that u_lookupNumber_box is the name of the drop down box on my form..
OK, if any of you use Facebook, you'll know what I mean, you click Share after you type in what you want, and it pushes everything else down, fades in, and slides. I need that to happen, and I need it to happen with labels because I can get the code for a textbox to work, but without the awesome effect.
I need to get the x variable from textbox6 into the equation and by pushing button 1, the finish product goes into label2, which is lets say 15min and 45 seconds. I need 15:45 to countdown to 0, and form1 pops up.
Alright inside of a combo box I have a list of colors and I want to change the background color of the combo box to the selected color...basically this... but im not sure what the problem is here anyone have some advice or is this not possible?
I need to find a solution or develop one for allowing employees to enter their "hours worked" at the end of the day and then easily and quickly "pushing" that data to Quickbooks Pro 2010.
I'm trying to formulate, in my mind, how to build this type of solution. With my understanding of QuickBooks integration I think it will look like the following:
Quickbooks Software on PC | |
[Code]....
Remember, the application on the PC will likely be on a consumer or small business network that doesn't even have static IP.
On a separate note, as near as I can tell nothing yet exists that will do what I'm looking for. The apps I have looked at require you to import iif files into your phone (specifically ReportAway). During an initial test of the app, the import failed to import anything but did not produce any error messages. It's unclear to me how the data gets input from the BlackBerry app to QuickBooks but it appears to simply be CSV files.
I make a game using directx. I'd like to keyboard input so I used GetAsyncKeyState function. But this function calls so many times when I am pushing button. I'd like to function that calls once even I am pushing button.
I'm attempting to populate fields in a processing webpage [URL] and having a small problem.
I can add the email and antenna heights easily but how do I manipulate a file browser (file upload) and option input boxes (Antenna Type) from within my vb app?
It might be the long way around but i'm doing it via searching each of the html elements to find the named fields I'm looking for:
Dim intWork As Integer For intWork = 0 To WebBrowser1.Document.All.Count - 1 strWork = WebBrowser1.Document.All.Item(intWork).Name
I have an annoying problem with tree-view control in asp.net VB, it pushes the content page area down when branching out the menu.I have created the proper divs to separate the various sectionsMaster page is very basic:-
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
i am not able to figure out any code on how to do this. I am trying to make it so when the person chooses a color in the ColorDialog, the all my buttons forecolors go to that, then the dialog will show to pick a back color.
A user places the cursor in a table cell and clicks on "Table > Background Color" to edit the current background colour.Currently I have been able to detect the current colour (for instance a light blue) and set that colour in the ColorDialog (Colour swatches are correct and RGB values are correct). What I would like to do is enable the user to click on the "Add to Custom Colors" to save the colour. Problem is, it sets the first square in the custom colours area (which happens to already be filled in with another custom colour), rather than finding the next square that is white and set it there instead.
is it possible to adjust the size of the colordialog prompt? is it possible to adjust the size of the sample color boxes within the colordialog prompt?
I am making a program with 2 players and I want both of them be able to select their color somehow. I know there is a ColorDialog tool but I dont know how to use it, does anyone know how to make a color selection box?
I'm just trying to open a ColorDialog so that the user can select a color. But if I just use the following simple code with Button, ComboBox or anything, the application will completely freezes itself.
Dim cd As New ColorDialog() If cd.ShowDialog() = DialogResult.OK Then PictureBox1.BackColor = cd.Color
I'm trying to store the color (backcolor of a picturebox control) that the user has selected as a string as follows.
'mycolor as a string If mycolor <> "" And mycolor <> "0" Then Try PictureBox1.BackColor = System.Drawing.ColorTranslator.FromOle(mycolor) Catch ex As Exception

i am working on a virtual make-up software and the only thing i lack to totally finish it is the lipstick part. is there a way that i can trace the edges of the lips of the picture that im editing and fill its insides with colors from a colordialog that will serve as if it applied a lipstick. just like what they have on jkiwi that users will jut trace the edges of the lips and then the color will automatically be filled out and it can be changed by choosing a color in a dialogbox.
I hane followed all step as described in chapter 4 pages 108 through 112. I can not get the OpenFileDialog or the ColorDialog into the component tray. I am using VB2008 Express. I have redone my work mant times and connot get this solved. What can I do to solve this. I have seen where others have asked this same question.
If you are working on a project that requires non-standard colours for text, it is possible to choose your colour by specifying the RGB components in the boxes on the colorpicker or by moving the mouse around until the desired colour is obtained. This can be put into one of the custom colour boxes and used until the program is shut down. Is it possible to save that colour to the custom colour box so that the next time the project is run, the chosen non-standard colour re-appears in the custom colour box?
how to remove a backgroundimage in the code whenever I activate colordialog :
[Code]...
I have a backgroundimage on the Me.(form1), I want it to be replace by the color choosen by the user with colordialog, right now it only changes every other form because the : me.backcolor = colordialog1.color has a backgroundimage.
i am trying to set one of the custom colors of the colordialog to be the current background color of the form. i am doing it like this: ColorDialog1.CustomColors(0) = Form1.BackColor.ToArgb it is not working. note that i only need a specific element to contain the color. not necessarily 0, but perhaps 9 or 15
I am writing a kiosk type application, in winforms (I know WPF would be better, this is just to be a rough and ready solution until I've learnt WPF), using VB.Net (VS2008).I have a label on my form with the font set to Segoe UI, and at 120pt size (yes it's large, it's designed to be read from a distance on a 42" screen). The problem I have is that the automatic internal padding is pushing my text 60 pixels from the top of the control to the top of the text and 40 pixels from the left of the control to the left of the text - the label1.padding property is all at 0, so this is the default spacing of the control - it seems to be particularly bad with this font (but it's the font I want to use) and if I increase the font size, this issue gets even worse.
I want my text to fit tightly into the boundaries of my control top, bottom and left (I want the right to expand depending on the length of the string in it, though). How can I achieve this (so that I can control all of the paddding myself using the label.padding property) and get rid of this automatic padding?
