REGEX Result Without Quotes?

I've got a regular expression that outputs the correct data but always puts it in quotes. Is there any way to get the data without the quotes?
Dim rgx1 As New Regex("(?<=FileID=).+?(?=FileStats)") 'find the information between these two
xReadFile = IO.File.OpenText(TextBox1.Text)'guess this can be disregarded
Wholefile = xReadFile.ReadToEnd()'and this too
MsgBox(rgx1.Match(Wholefile).Value) ' displays integer
I'm using a regex editor to help me write these and I think its just making it tougher to understand.

I need to remove all quotes from an image tag found within lots of other text. For example, I want to make
<img src="folder/image.gif" target="_blank" />
into
<img src=folder/image.gif target=_blank />
I'm using vb, and need to use a regEx specifically for the img tag and not use replace. The img tag can be in a block of other text, so I need to use regEx to search for the <img and then within that until I meet a /> I need to remove all quotes.

I have a string like
FVAL(XXX)="TRUE" AND FVAL(TT)="FALSE"
I want to replace all "TRUE" and "FALSE" by TRUE AND FALSE.
Now the resultant string should be
FVAL(XXX)=TRUE AND FVAL(TT)=FALSE
Will the code shown below be upto the mark for this.

I am trying to think of a regex replace to replace double quotes with nothing. Example:
hello("hi there") would become hello(hi there)
"hi" would become hi
"example "3" would become example "3
-edit Maybe an easier way to explain this is, replace all " that do not have a backslash before them.

This should create a desktop shortcut but instead it spits out an error that is because of the quotes inside quotes. They need to be there, I know this is the problem as I have tried without them and it has worked. Another problem though is that it creates the shortcut (when Idon'thave quotes in quotes) but wraps the whole TargetPath in quotes making the shortcut unusable. Here is my code:

Is there any way to use selectnode with the attribute having both single and double quotes? If we are having single quote in the attribute we can use like below,
nodeList = root.SelectNodes("//book[contains(title,""'attribute'"")]")
If we are having double quotes we can use,
nodeList = root.SelectNodes("//book[contains(title,'"""attribute"""')]")
how can I use an attribute ['attribute"] having both single and quotes in SelectNodes.

If I try to display a command line argument that has double quotes around, the double quotes are always stripped off. How can I avoid this?

I am currently having a headache on how to solve this problem that i am facing. here is the situation: I have a combobox and a list box on the main form. The combobox will get the data from the ms access database. In the database, i have the details of a person's IC, Name and DOB say for eg on one entry I have D215311523C,SHAWN,13/04/1987 So now, my combobox on form load will show the list of dates in the database to allow the user to search base on the date itself by clicking on the selected date. So when the user clicks on the particular date say 13/04/1987, people in the database whose birthday is 13/04/1987 will be shown on the listbox.Meaning to say if i have 3 entries whose dates are the same 13/04/1987, 3 entries will appear. If there is only two entry, then two results will be shown. But now, when i do a single click on the date, one result will be shown. That is correct. But the problem is when i click on the same date again, three of the same results will be shown on the list box. that is it will display : 13/04/1987 13/04/1987 13/04/1987 which is not the case. Then it will show more duplicates of the same results if i click more times on the same date which should not be the case.

I am using a datagrid in my where i am having four columns. In first column the parameter values are entered and in the second column measured value is entered and in third column the nominal value is entered.Inthe fourth column the result is displayed by subtracting the measured value and nominal values. I am doing this calculation in Datagrid cell validated event. I am encountering the following issue So i have a device that sends stuff at the serial port, i then parse it and put it into an array of bytes like that:

Basically what i wanna do is let the port parse the messages, fill in the array with the result at an empty spot in this array and then i will have a separate thread that will look in into this array in each non empty space and after it looks into the non empty space it will use or discard the info and also mark this space as empty (after it checked)

I am having an issue where I am using regex.Replace to replace part of a string. The basic idea is that I want to capture the beginning of the string then replace the end of the string with a value from code. For an example pretend I have a string that says "Test Number " followed by number and I want to increment that number. I capture the "Test Number " but when I try to concatenate that capture with the new number it treats the capture ($1) as a literal and replaces the entire string with $1[new number].

This will output "We are on Test Number 2", as expected. how I can use a variable in the replacement string portion of the Regex.Replace when including a captured group?

I just read about DataSet in VB.NET, it uses disconnected concept. My question is: if my apps has "List All" button that query data from 1 table in the database, and that table has "very very very" many rows, so my DataSet will be filled with those data and eat up memory. Can I limit the data that being put to the DataSet from that query? But I want to be able to retrieve the next data from the same query if the user want to see it?
For example:
I have 1000 rows in my database, and i query all of them. But I just want 200 rows being inserted to my DataSet, but if the user want to see rows number 201 and so on, I want to be able to retrieve the next 200 rows, and so on. So it just like cutting those data into a group of 200 rows. Can I do this with the concept of "disconnected" of the DataSet?

I'm creating a program in VB.NET to output multiple images. Some images will have the same file name. If there is multiple files with the same name I want to add "_1_" to the end of the file name. If the "_1_" file already exists I want to increment the 1 to be "_2_". If this file already exists I want to continue incrementing the number ultil it doesn't exist. I've been working straight since yesterday trying to get this to work. I'm a noob to RegEx and I've tested out about 5 different RegEx "builders" but each of them require you to navigate through the options to build the Regex...each of them has failed when I try to use them.Is there an application out there free/paid where you select the line you want to grab and the RegEx is auto generated from that highlight rather than having to try to build the line of code? I have a xls file, or a csv without quotes, and using vb.net need to turn it into a csv with quotes around every cell. If I open the xls/csv without quotes in MS Access, set every column to text and then export it, its in the format I need. Is there an easier way? If not, how do I do replicate this in vb.net?
