Jun 3, 2011On a cell_content_click I would like the column header name, and the value of the cell in the 0 column. I need 2 values.Basically is clicking on the grid, at the intersect, and then getting 2 values from that intersect. The column header that it's in, and the row value, where is in the 0 column always, but difers depending on what row I'm at.

Sep 13, 2011I'm trying to render a checkbox in a datagridview column header so that when the checkbox is checked/unchecked all the cells in that column should be checked/unchecked accordingly.The datagridview is bound to a database table but the column containing the checkbox header cell is unbound. The problem is, whenever i click the header checkbox, all the cells in that column are checked but the header checkbox itself gets invisible. If I click the HEADER (though the checkbox is invisible, still I can click the header) again, all the cells in the column below are unchecked and the header checkbox becomes visible and unchecked. Everything is happening as expected except the visibility of the header checkbox. Why is it so?

This works fine when the columns unless the user changes the order of the column.
So what I am trying to achieve is to find the value if the cell even if the order of the columns is changed. Is there a way instead of saying column (0, eRow) I can add (ColumnHeaderName = "NameHere", eRow) or something along those lines.

Jan 18, 2011I have a form with four checkboxs and a textbox for an id number.I also have two tables in a database. The first has a column for the users Id, Name, and a column called Points.The second has a column for Id and one called Letters.What i want to do is, after the user enters the id number, and the user clicks checkboxA it should add a certain number, lets say 5, to the "points" cell for that id#(in the first database), and it should put the letter "a" in the "letters" column (of the second database) for that id number. Also, if a user deselects a checkbox it should remove the "a" from letters and subtract 5 from points.Also there will be different letters in the "letters" cell, so i cant just clear it, but i have to remove the specific letter.

(not to be confused with the column header). Later in my code when I am exporting into an existing workbook with a new worksheet, I'm wanting to use the header text as the tab name. Jun 1, 2010The problem is that if you never enter anything into a cell for a new row then that cell is never validated. This is a problem because I have columns that should not be null. I am doing the check in the row level validation and storing the information about which cells are empty that should not be empty. The row level validation works fine and the row level validation error indicator goes on,(red exclamation mark at the beginning of the row) but I also need a visual indicator on the individual cells that are in error.
I am thinking that setting the HasError property for the cells that are in error should cause them to display n error style (the default red border). Is there a way to this this either from XAML (perferably) or from code?Alternatively I could cause those cells to re-validate when the row editing is finished. Does anyone know how to do this?

Apr 20, 2010I'm attempting to copy cells, one at a time, from an Excel 2003 (or 2007) spreadsheet to a Word 2003 (or 2007) table. I'd like the code to be version-agnostic, and so am using late binding. The formatting of the contents of the Excel cell, such as color, underline, strike-through, needs to be preserved. My approach is to use a Word doc as a template. It has a table at the top which I can copy to the end of the doc, add rows as needed, and fill in the word table cells with the data from the excel spreadsheet. Unfortunately, all the formatting disappears. All I get is the text itself.

Make DataGridView TextBox Cell A ComboBox Cell When It Has Focus
Dec 23, 2011I have a DataGridView with several columns. One column is a TextBox column named "Status". This column can only show one of three values: 'Final', 'Ready', or 'No Reportable'. I want to have some code that would turn the TextBox cell into a ComboBox cell when the user left-clicks on the cell to allow the user to choose one of these three options. When the user clicks elsewhere or the cell loses focus I want the cell to change back to a TextBox cell.
Here is what I have so far, but the code throws an exception indicated below Plus, I don't think the code would remove the combobox when the cell loses focus.
