I created a button , i have a richtextbox , i want to do this : i will right something in the richtextbox , and when i will select what i wrote and click on the button it will replace it with <font color="">something</font>. but instead it rights next of what i selected .. any clues how to replace it and not right next to it ?
I can't change change the font size or font name or color of the text in the DHTML Editing Control. I have 2 listbox controls FontNameList containing all of the installed fonts on my PC and FontSizeList containing some numbers to be used as fontsize and I use the execommand and build my App but the font did not change instead it grew bigger but when I tryed to change it back it stayed the same. I am creating an excel report from vb.net. Now it works. But i realize that the apparent does not make sense. I just want enlarge some font size and change font name plus setting up the page to fit my receipt printer (Epson TM-T88IV).
everything tests well but when I evoke the function the dialog values default to selections other than what the text was originally/last set to (e.g., color, font, size, etc. in the dialog/menu is not what is shown in my rich text box).how I can set the above values per the text being recalled in the RTB? That is, in the above scenario if I hit the cancel button I lose the original text formatting.

How can I change font color of a string. I set the fore color properties of the label holding the string but seems that only works when the string is displayed in that label. Is there a way of setting the color of a string itself such that it displays any where with that color by default. I am actually sending this string as email but wanted to format it in a way that it will display differently however it doesn't.

I have a program that checks for the color under the mouse pointer. I also stores what I think is the RGB (could someone confirm this?) value for that color in a Rich text box and next to that in a text box the coordinates of the mouse at that time.The idea is to be able to measure the times between the bounces of a tennis ball in a video. The background is black and the tennis ball is another color.I wasnt sure how to say "if color is not similar to black... Do this"So my plan was to set the richtextbox font color to itself - as it is an RGB value. The file reads in parameters and two of the parameters used to be in Date Format YYYYMMDD but will now permanently be in format YYYY-MM-DD. This change, I believe, is stopping the import of the file from working. I would like to replace the new format YYYY-MM-DD back to YYYYMMDD in the code. If possible I'd also like to see some output so I know that the old format has been replaced with the new format. The code is below. I added the two rows with .replace code in green in expecting that to be enough but it is still not working.

I found the same question (by someone on 31st Aug 2007) and answers by Figo Fei in the forum. Figo fei said, "It is truly not possible to directly modify the forecolor of the DateTimePicker which is concealed in its implementation. However, there is a workaround to change its forecolor through own-draw mode in a custom control inherited from dateTimePicker.". And he gave the code which looks like - for me - either VC++ or VC#.

I've been googling, testing, etc for a couple hours and I'm right where I started off. the vb.net tab control sucks... Does anyone have an tips or code to make it so when I select a tab the font color changes OR it just makes the tab heading text bold?I've messed around with the draw commands and while that does work, it draws the borders/backgrounds so they are very old / outdated looking.This is basically for a simple tab text editor I'm working on when a textbox in the control changes I can update the associated tab with either a red font or just bold it to indicate the textbox on that tab is modified. I've definitely be open for alternative tab controls as long as they are free and come with a vb.net example :)
