I was wondering how I would take a SQL statement and reuse it for all users in the database. I have the code for writing to one but it contains information regarding the user so is there a way I can add all of the users to an array from the database. If so what method is used to get all of them into that array, if possible?

View 2 RepliesI've made a small communication channel with other users of my application, it will connect using TCP which I tested and worked with two instances of my application on my home PC.I have to type in my IP address of what would be the "remote" computer i'm talking to, my issue is some of my users may not even know what their IP is to give it to me so how can I get my IP and save it as a setting to send to other users so it can be added as the PC they are talking to?

And I make files at my end and upload files to webserver so that the application and download & process it. This happens at fixed intervals. Now I intent to send an instant alert (or message) to users who are using that application. For example: If I type a message and send "Hello everyone" then all those people who are currently using that product should get a popup with this message. My webserver is a hosted on a unix based system. It enables me to show html content and post files & stuff online.

View 5 RepliesI use a fontdialog box in my application allowing users to change the font details within my application. This works fine but unfortunatly I don't seem to be able to set the values in the dialogbox as they are read only.
Basically if the user has Bold Wingdings set and wishes to change it to something else then when they open up the fontdialog box I would like to be able to set the font to wingdings and bold so the user can see what they previously selected. Word seems to do this so why cant I?
I just converted the following code from c# to vb.net. It is functional and works correctly with my company's firmware/devices. My next challenge. Previous serialport code used much more readable structs which where then converted (after building a packet) into byte() automatically as part of the serialport encoding. (this is my understanding)How could I
1. morph byte arrays 'ToSocket' and 'ToMTP' below into structs and
2. convert into byte array for Socket.BeginSend(byte(),.....) to stream out to remote devices?

Now as you can see it is sending the textbox1 text and then pressing enter then sending textbox2 text! Theres quite a few problems in that but before i discuss note: This code is in a Timer. Problem #1: It does not send the keys fully correct all the time because its trying to send them all at once! So i want it to send them 1 letter after the other with 200 ms sleep in them! Problem #2: The sleep is not working: The reason i know is because even after it did the first textbox1 text it didnt wait that 2000 ms!

I am trying to send keys to a control on my form. But I am getting a NullReferenceException and I don't know why. The code is about as basic as it gets: [Code] The error reported is object reference not set to an instance of an object but Send is a shared method so doesn't need an instance. Strangely if I ignore the error it works fine and F4 is passed to the control. I know there was an issue with sendkeys and UAC but I thought this had been solved (I am using 4.0 framework).

It will then have a link to page 2, which allows them to edit something.I then want them to click a link that will send them back to the gridview under the same parameters of: /example/grid?value1=1&value2=2

I am trying to use the send keys function to send text to another program.I ahve gotten it al working well, except for using () as I know sendkeys doesnt like these.I have tried using the Replace function in several places in my code to replace the ( with {(} and {+0} etc, with various other options tried.But when I run the program, it seems to skip this out completly and leaves them in the string as (, and therefore it errors and wont run.When I step through it, it goes through the function but doesnt alter the strng as it should. This is the code to send the string and my attempt at making it replace the () in the module
