I have a problem with farpoint spread sheet, that while loading the data into the spread sheet, the sheet refreshes each time a value is set.
I have large number of rows and columns so, the sheet take quite large time till loading.
any idea how to disable the refresh and enable it again after the data is completely loaded.

I can restrict the sheet from A1:A24 (contains 2010) and I get the same error.
at the moment I have a small application and need to take information from an object and display it into an excel file, using the Microsoft.office.interop class I've been able to write to the file, and it shows one by one the records being added, however about once every 3 times I try it, the spreadsheet stops filling somewhere between the 300th and 600th record, I have 6,000 in total and it's not breaking every time, I put a check after it finishes to see whether the last record is filled in but the code never reaches that point and I'm unsure of what's happening I also don't know how to debug the problem as it'd mean going through 6,000 loops to check for it stopping... which might not even happen?

The column titles of the spreadsheets match up, I have several templates I need to place data into and the order of the columns is different in each template so I need a way of searching for a column header in the template and then copying the data into that column.

Hence this app.. so it consist of a input box, progress bar and a button, using FileSystemObject I plan to interrogate a directory to see if a folder exists (folder specified by user input) however it need to check multiple directories, in my old app I used a list box which wrote to a text file allowing the user to add additional directories then using if statements proceeded through the servers.. however they have added that much that my IF's have ran out really because i know it should have been a loop

Alright, so I'm still working on the slot machine. I have three timers all independently going for my three "wheels" of the slot machine.
My issue, is that I'm trying to make a Stop button to stop each timer one at a time, and I'm not understanding why this code isn't working. The logic completely makes sense, and the first "wheel" stops when I click the button, however, it doesnt appear to stop the other two timers.

I created a form and have the variable inputs for 4 motor run statements. Then with a start button the script starts and it is surrounded by a for next statement to loop 10 times. It works fine but if i need to stop the execution of the script with a stop button. I put the stop in a new section but of course does not work to do a motor stop. It just causes the exe to not respond till the loop is complete. Just need to be able to stop the Run1_Click button section.
Edit:I do not mind if it finishes the 4 motor run commands and then stops execution of the loop. So need to figure out a way to trigger a stop from a button on the form to stop the cycle. For the future the loop will be a variable integer input so 10 will not be the standard.
Edit::Does a ' Do ' statement sound like the thing to use? If so how and where would I place that? Have a Stop button on the form and it would stop after the 4th motor run command.

I have a START and STOP button and when the user clicks "start" the program does a whole bunch of calculations and all. However, I noticed that when I was testing the program I clicked STOP the program continues to execute stuff.
My START code is basically a while loop that iteratively does some calculations.
So I just put a boolean variable as the while condition and when user clicks stop its set to false and when user clicks start its set to true. However, when I click stop, the condition is set to false yes but it still executes all the code until the condition is re-evaluated right...so my question is how can I get out of the while loop when user instantly clicks "stop"?

If I double-click on a row in that DGV, I go to another tab in which I can either make changes or delete the record. Whatever I do, whether it be delete it or modify it, after clicking on the appropriate command button, focus goes back to the main tab. What I wish to do is have the changes be reflected on that DGV. If the record is deleted then I want the DGV to not have that record present. This DGV is bound to a BindingSource. What control/dataset to I need to "Refresh" in order for this to happen?

It then turns different boxes to different colors based on the output. The maddenign thing is it works for the first time through and sometimes the second, but never any farther.At the end it paints everything just fine and if I insert a blank msgbox within the code it refreshes fine as well.
