I am writing a little application for our end users. I am trying to perform a search, which takes 1 input and clicking a button.I have tried a couple attempts but have failed. I'm not sure where to start, because debugging it doesn't help me see what's going on.
Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
'Dim theElementCollection As HtmlElementCollection = Me.WebBrowser1.document.GetElementsByTagName("input")
'For Each curElement As HtmlElement In theElementCollection
I tried this but it did not work. The result is that the WebBrowser displays "This program cannot display the webpage" error page. The problem I think, is that the page is using javascript when it comes to submitting the form. This is the code for the submit button:
I have a textbox and a submit button. The textbox is a date-entry field. Attached to it, I have a compare validator with the type set to "date". It does validate and show an error message.
Problem is, the user can still click on the submit button. I'd like to prevent that. If the user has entered something like 03/hello/2011, he or she should not be able to submit the form.
I have a form in my MVC application that in theory should submit data back to my database using a Repository class. However, when I submit the form ([URL]), the URL changes to where the form should be submitting to, which is fine ([URL]), but once it has been submitted, it should send the user to a confirmation page. From what I can tell, I'm moving through all my pages correctly until it comes to the submit, where it displays the form again but under /Admin/NewUser/Submit and the data is not inserted into the database.
I'm using Visual Studio 2005, net framework 2.0, Microsoft Internet Explorer ver 7.0.5730.13. Create a form with the webbrowser control and two buttons. Use the code that i provided at the end of this question to understand the scenario. As far as i know, this behaviour happens only on the myspace.com web site. 1. Navigate to your myspace.com inbox page, read a message and click on the reply button to reply to the message. The page will show correctly in the web browser.2. Then click on Button1, repeat the same process (read a message in the myspace.com inbox, click on the reply button), and the textboxes where you have to enter your reply will be gone.3. Then click on Button2, repeat the same process, and the page will show correctly in the web browser.4. Then comment out or remove the oDoc_MouseDown event, click on Button1, repeat the same process, and the page will show correctly. Why does the page shows correctly when the oDoc_MouseDown event is removed? The same behaviour happens if you use any other event of the oDoc variable.I desperately need the page on myspace to be shown correctly with the oDoc_MouseDown event and other events of the oDoc variable. Please provide a solution to this
problem.RegardsPublic Class Form1 Private WithEvents oDoc As HtmlDocument Private Sub Form1_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load wb.Navigate(" ") End Sub Private Sub Button1_Click(
In the past, I used the code below to fill out a form field using the webbrowser control in VB.Net. The page I am working with doesn't have name field for the inputbox, so my code doesn't work. How would I fill out the input box defined at the bottom of this post in bold?[code]...
I got a webbrowser control on 1st form (Form1.vb) and a New Window button...When i press new window button, SAME window must open (i mean with same content)heres what i tryed:

I have a WebBrowser control in my VB.NET application that loads a PHP page inside it. On the PHP page I have a 'Log Out' hyperlink. What I'm trying to do is close the VB.NET form when that hyperlink is clicked.
I'm building a web browser using the WebBrowser control in a normal vb form. I would like to add an option where the user can view the source code for the page like in internet explorer.
I am writing a windows form application, where I want to have a WebBrowser control, and in that control, I want to show a Google map programmatically generated (I mean, not just specify a URL to the browser).
I've been trying to figure out a way, to receive Click events(Clicking a Link) back to the form from a WebBrowser control, as the BeforeNavigation2 event does not fire in either VB/C#.Has any body got any ideas how to do this as All the example I've seen in the past just dont seem to work in VS2010
I have implemented webbrowser control in my windows application. I have some functions inthe class file. i want to use those functions from the webpage which is displayed in my windows app through webbrowser control..For example say... I have an standalone windows software. Which has a webbrowser control in the some form. Now i would like to create a webpage that can be displayed in the webbrowser control in win app which has some buttons and textboxes. When i click on button in the webpage it should get the version number of that software. I have some other functions that are in the class file aswell.. but dont no how to call those functions from that webpage when a button is clicked or something like that.
I am using an embedded webbrowser control to access a third-party website, populate the username and password boxes on their front page, and login. The problem I have is that the resulting window that the site returns to me is in the form of a new window. What I want to do is capture this window and all it's session/cookie data in to the original webbrowser control, as even if I direct the original window to the same resulting url, some kind of authentication data is missing and the site tells me I have logged out, even though the popup window works fine. I need that page in the original control so that I can continue to access it programmatically, and I don't really want to get in to the complication of accessing the new window, as I expect I'll have to delve in to the api or something.
I am using a WebBrowser-Control to fill in a webform and then click at a button, this currently results in a standard Download File Dialog (you get these if you download a file using internet explorer), but instead, I have to catch this file and save it automatically with a by me defined name to a specific folder.I am trying to code a little application in vb.net which download the Export-file from my wordpress-blog, and I want to do this completely without user-interaction.Currently everything works, except the downloading of the file.I tried to catch it with the event System.Windows.Controls.WebBrowser.Navigating(ByVal Object, ByVal System.Windows.Navigation.NavigatingCancelEventArgs) but I don't see where to download the file from?
I am writing a few web based apps which will require a webbrowser extension. I have already used the IE webbrowser control that uses the trident web rendering engine. I believe this is MSHTML.DLL? Anyway, some of the users of my programs have complained of a few things. Particularily,
1. It seems to be a slow browser, at least compared to other rendering engines out there (webkit and gecko are 2 known ones).
2. On the developer side, it seems to be low in features. The features are sufficient in most cases, but there are some "special" things that I need.
3. It has VERY low HTML (and especially HTML5) compliance.
My question is, how much work would it take to use a different engine (such as webkit .net, which I HAVE heard of) and be able to distribute it easily. Or, if you guys feel ambitious, we could try writing a brand new engine ourselves. I know how big of a job it is, and frankly, I have no clue where to begin. I would just like your thoughts and opinions on the matter.
i have created an app to load an access database into a datagridview, which contains web urls. When button is clicked it webbrowser1 navigates to each url and each webpages document.inertext is put into textbox. This all work fine but after a while the webbrowser navigation becomes increasingly slower.
For Each RW As DataGridViewRow In Me.DataGridView1.SelectedRows '''''''''''#######cell values into strings ########'''''''''''''' If RW.Selected = True Then Dim domain As String
For the past couple of days I have been using Visual basic 2008 and learning it.Anyway, I am trying to make a login form that will login to a website with WebBrowser control.and I am noticing that the webbrowser is extremly slow, it takes him about 20 seconds to load a page while mozilla opens it in a moment, why is that?
I am been working on an a small app that has a Forms.Webbrowser control that navigates to a Adobe Flash program. I have developed the app on Vista 32bit platform and have had no problems. I have sent the app to a couple of people to test out and one is using Vista 64bit and is running into a problem. I know the webbrowser control just uses the underlying base framework of IE. The problem on the 64 bit machine is when the site is navigated to it says that it needs to have Flash installed. When the user goes to Adobe's site it says they need to use a 32bit browser.
As stated on Adobe site here:[URL] the Flash player need to be in a 32 bit browser. What options do I have to be able fix this problem? Is there another control that I can use that would be the same in a 32bit platform and 64bit platform? Besides navigating to the Flash program, the browser also goes to standard web pages.
Ive tried to edit option on the webbrowser control, example javascript enable/disable. but found out that it uses IE's option and cannot be changed. So my question is: Is there a way to do a "webbrowser" without using the WEbbrowser control that is based on internetexplorer? If it is, can i change option example flash and so on?
I'm attempting to make an application which, upon entry of Amount to spend, Vendor, Employee, etc., a Purchase Order number is returned. My thought is that I'll simply let SQL pick the PO Number by setting it as an identity field. What I'm curious about, though, is how to directly query the database as opposed to using DataGridView or bound controls.Note that I have the following setup at this point.
My below code has to copy a table from access in to temp dataset and then i need to select some datas from the dataset... its workign fine up to copying in to dataset..but in the second part the query is not submitted.. im a beginner
