I've created barcode using barcode.lib downloaded from the net.i've used a picturebox in that picturebox i have created barcode using barcode.lib now i want to save that barcode as image in the database. There's a prblem while saving that image as bytearray in vb.net 2005 it takes null value of that barcode present in picturebox.i'am attaching both images

I have a table in SQL Server with a field defined as Varbinary (MAX). In VB I am trying to save an image to the table. The file I'm using is 139kB in size and I get no errors but when I look at the record, the Attachment column where my image stream should be is empty. The rest of the information is saved. I checked the buffer and it grabs the correct size of the file (141475) so I'm very sure it's found and loaded the image.
Could the parameter from the SQL not be passing the binary value to the parameter properly?

I'm using VS2005 and VB.NET 2005 for my work. I need to create charts and to convert them into images. I'm desperately trying to save MSChart in BMP (or JPEG, I don't care).
I tried to copy the MSChart in the clipboard but I have an error :

i need to save an image that will be displayed on a vb.net form. how do i get round this:
1. how do i get the image before saving it in the database?
2. how do i save the image in the database?
3. how do i fetch and display the image from the database on a form?
I have a SQL Server database with a Table that has an image varbyte(max) field that I am using to store images. The issue is that when I am trying to insert an image in the field I need to .endEdit the dataSource before the assignment and again afer. If I don't do it before then nothing is stored. This of course only happens with the image, all other fields are updated without need to .endEdit.

When an image is already selected, the record can be updated by pressing the same OK button. The data is saved into MSSQL Server 2005. Corresponding table fields are Keycode int autono, logoname nvarchar(50), logo image.Now the problem, when I insert a new data with an image everything goes fine but whenever I try to update an existing data with an image it throws an exception- 'A generic error occurred in GDI+.' at the following line- 'pic.Image.Save(ms, pic.Image.RawFormat)'. Surprisingly when I update an existing data without any image in the picturebox no exception is generated. I have crossed checked it and seems that the problem is just at one point- 'Updating the image from the picturebox'. My code to insert/update the data by OK button and to populate it by listbox doubleclick follows:

I have created a access database and have sucsessfully connected to it.I have three records in it (just for testing) and have got the BindingNavigator to connect to it as well.I can move through the (3) records that I have previously entered, and when I click on the Add Record button it zero's the text fields that I have displayed.When I enter NEW DATA it does not SAVE it.

If so I think the XML file will probably be the way I go at least for me. I dont really want to mess with the registry. I just wanted to check what my options are.

So far I have added a few Dll's but each one displays a "demo" pic over a portion of the barcode. Is there anyway to display barcodes in pic boxes or text boxes or a non demo dll somewhere.

I am using Richard L. Grier's Enhanced Serial Port dll to read input from a serial port barcode scanner I notice that the datareceived event fires only once per barcode scan, but the delegate sub fires twice per barcode scan. Once for 1st half of Barcode , 2nd for 2nd part of barcode This makes it hard to capture the full barcode so it can be passed to routines in my vb.net 2008 windows application In Richard's example 'Test Enhanced Port' program he sends it to a textbox using .selectedtext and it works fine Richards Delegate code ......................

Here is my project, on MS SQL,i can insert and retrieve images easily but when i switch my database into MySQL i encounter the problem that i can't insert image to my database. Only regular members are allowed to enter into club and allowed to avail all services of club. Now the question is that i dont know that how the custom barcode will be created and how the scanner will be controlled with vb.net?
