VS 2008 - Entering Data Into DataGridView ComboBox Column

I have this test form where I'm testing the idea, but ran into a snag. Now the main idea is to load all the data from a dataset into the one column of the datagridview. This works perfectly as shown in the image. Now there is something that I want to happen, but just can't get it right. when on the DataGridViewComboBox Column I also want to be able to type in my own data if the one I want is not available in the combobox.
Also if there are 50 values in my combobox and 2 of them are:
jacky, jacson
When I type jac, I want the combobox to only give me the options starting with "jac"

I have a data-bound combobox that pulls values from a BindingList(of T). Combobox loads fine, correct values are displayed (I'm not using SelectedItem or SelectedValue). I'm using properties and connecting the data to the control via a bindingsource.
What I want is if the user types text into the combobox, I want the data from the bound table to change to that new text, i.e. edit the bound data directly.
Easy as pie to do with a textbox, but can't seem to get a combobox to work this way.
I was trying to use the validated event of the combobox to write the data to the datasource, but it doesn't fire when I press enter. Is that the way to do it? Can I not link the data to the combobox directly?
I want to insert/edit date automatically in the DateCreated column and the SystemUser column to track the date and user who entered ther details into a dataset. I am using data bindingsource to bind controls to the dataset
I have a datagridview and a bindingsource. The first column is a comboboxcolumn which is bound to a table field and then the rest of the items are populated from another datatable. What I have on my other forms is a textbox called txtfilter and on the textchanged event I have this
Me.ProductBindingSource.Filter = "BatchNo LIKE '" & txtFilter.Text & "*'" that works great. Now I want to filter the combobox columns just like this.
Is there a way to prevent a user from entering data into a ComboBox, rather then selecting, or can anyone suggest a routine to catch and prevent entries so the user can be made aware the they are not acceptable?
i would like to enter data from a textbox called textbox1.text into my access database called Stocks.mdb. Browsing the internet, i have gotten close but still cant get it to insert the correct data. Currently my code is:

I am using vb.net and winforms.I have a Form with a Bound DataGridView. On the DGV I have 5 columns with ComboBox. I am using the Editing Control Showing Even to catch the ComboBox Selection. I have a Data Grid View and some of the columns are of type ComboBox. What happends is that when I click on a cell that's a ComboBox it Selects the ComboBox but I have to click it again for it dropdown and show the Combox Items
I have a datagridview containing 1st column (combobox), 2nd and 3rd column is textbox. The combobox was filled-up using datatable. My problem is on loading form, I will get a records from my database and set the value of my combobox base on those records. So if I have 5 records from my database then I should have 5 rows containing combobox in my datagridview.

I have an unbound DataGridView control that displays a few columns of account data. The first column is a combobox that I fill with data from a dataset of names filtered by what's in a customer field on the form. When you click on a combo on one of the populated rows, the available names come up in the combo. But if the first click in the datagridview is on a new row's combo, various (incorrect) names appear. Only after you click on one of the populated row's comboboxes, does the correct data appear in the new row's combobox control.
I don't really understand why this is happening. I have been using the EditingControlShowing event to populate and add the combo to the new row, but it doesn't seem to be working very well. I hope someone out there has some ideas about the correct way to do this.
