I have a query that returns Lname, Fname, and Email. I want to send 1 email (that Is already set up and working) that contains the results of the query as part of the body that includes an additional message; "The persons listed below.........." Need to know how to get them "listed below". Then I want to send a separate e-mail to each email address the query returns, separately not in a group but the same message.

The error I get is: The parameter 'addresses' cannot be an empty string. Parameter name: addresses And it's pointing to the Email.To.Add() section.
i have hit a hiccup in a program i have been working on, and i need to know how to send emails with aol, as apposed to something like gmail. I was wondering if anyone knows what the aol sms port and host are, and how one can use them to send emails. (does anyone know how to send emails with aol?)

It was working earlier today but I found out that i needed to add Using statement because the email was having a file open that had to be deleted after it was sent but afterwards it doesn't work.

I seem to be having a heck of a time trying to figure out how to add the results from a mySQL query to an array in vb.net. Right now, I only understand that you have to define the dimension of the array, however this is shy of impossible since the dimension of the array will change due to different results from the query. What is the proper way to take my results and put them in an array?

I have tried to adapt the code I had to insert data into my database, just changing the SQL sintaxa and some other bits, but it is not working yet. Well, it gives results, but I think it is still geting the results from the query I had built using the query builder. Here is the code I've got so far:

View 2 RepliesWhat I want is to be able to launch an email from VB in the same way that MAILTO: does from a browser. ie. it launches an email from whatever the deault client is.One of the posts on here (linked from the FAQ) mentioned to use MAPI, but the problem is that I can't figure out which 'imports' I need to use.
Googling around I can find lots of excamples of MAPI code, but none mention the imports. If I just paste the code into my VB form it just says that the names are not declared.Another post indicated that these weren't functions from an import, but rather I had to add a MAPI componant of some kind from the toolbox onto a form - but I can't find any MAPI things in the toolbox either...
I am using VB5 on a Windows XP SP3 computer.I have an application that send emails to customers that have birthdays today and that bought a product from me today. If I run the application several times with the same search criteria with the same customers and the same date and time, I "may" or "may not" get the save Emails sent out.I am using a MAPI Signon prior to the birthday select and MAPI Signoff after the birthday select; another MAPI Signon prior to the sales today select and MAPI Signoff after the sales today select.I count the emails that are supposed to be produced in each select above and the counts are correct. It's the emails that may not agree with the counts.What could cause this?

I found a few codes in the internet but all the codes are for pre-defined email address. What i am planning to do is to make my program such that the user can input their recipients' email addresses onto the BCC richtextbox(rtbBCC) instead of putting a pre-defined email address in my windows application design.
