VS 2008 Sending Strings + Images With NewtworkStream?
Sep 26, 2009
I'm trying to send a String with an Image from Clipboard ("String|" & Clipboard.GetImage)In VB6 it was possible (Winsock1.SendData "String|" & Clipboard.GetData(vbCFBitmap)), but in .NET i'm gettin the error, that the "&" operator is undefined for the string and image type...
#Region " Send & Recive "
Public Function ReciveBytes() As Byte()
Dim tmpBytes(TCPCli
I'm trying to send an image over TCP... I believe I'm sending the image correctly, but how do I receive the image?
Here's my code in sending the image (To shorten the code, I didn't show how the image is created).
Code: Dim tmpImage As System.Drawing.Bitmap 'client is the connected Net.Sockets.TcpClient tmpImage.Save(client.GetStream(), System.Drawing.Imaging.ImageFormat.Bmp)
I have googled this and found older vb codes that do not work in 2010. The user, in this case a "cheater/hacker" isn't suppose to be aware of a running program that checks memory and some other information. I have succesfully read the values of certain memory adresses in my program, now I need to send those values to another program secretly opened as a date and time sort of thing. The program checks for malicius attempts to edit memory or edit information inside the software and it automaticly deletes all the data or does a "ban" if somebody attempts to freeze memory and edit it.
So the problem is how to send this data to program out of focus, I can send strings with appactivate but it will open my security program to screen everytime memory changes witch is almost every milisecond so it's almost useless cause it keeps switching focus. I need something to send it out of focus, so my question is;
I make a hook between my program and my security program, send messages/strings out of focus or in tray? Also it would be good if I could make my program "invisible" so he can't be seen even in tray and still keep working.
i want to send multiple screenshot images from my client to server.. now i already get the screenshot code.. and the only problem i have is that .. i can't send them in my server..
I have a Windows Application, where I can sending mails (htmls). I have the next function to sen mails:Public Shared Function MandarMensaje(ByVal from As String, ByVal para As String, ByVal subject As String, ByVal body As String) As String..In "body" i put the code of the html, and the function works ok, but I want to the html include images that are in a folder next to the html, for this reason I want to include the images changing the code of the html for include the images there, I have listened something about use "mime" BUt I don't know if it is the correct way.
I have windows Application from where I am sending the mail using Email template images. But on different SMTP server it show different result . It attached the template images as an attachment.I am using following method as mention in the link to send email template [URL]..
I noticed when I send bitmap over a stream I have to close the stream where I sent it from in order to get it on the other end. Is there any way I can keep the stream open and send images and strings, or any other way of doing that? [code] 'I have to close the stream or it wont work, but I need to keep it open to send more images!
I am working on a UDP Client/Server, and currently i have them sending back and forth strings, which i convert to bytes, and then open the bytes to read. I want to now send an Object instead of those strings, which includes multiple unsigned integers and strings.
The app i am working on is for creating theme for the iPod touch... It has to deal with LOTS of images (100's potentially) There will be the set of default images, and then the user created replacement images. I started loading all the defaults into a resx file... thinking then I could just pull them out. now that I started setting the default, this sucks! lol the app will do this, on load it will set all the images (variables) to the resx images then when a theme is loaded, it will replace the default with the user image (if the user img exists) otherwise, the default stays. Then the "screen" is drawn to show the user. so, here is just the images to build the wallpaper, dock, and status bar...
Say I have a List(Of Tag) with Tag being an object. One member of Tag, Tag.Description, is a string, and I want to make a comma-separated concatenation of the Description members. Is there an easier way to do this than to read the Description members into a List(Of String) and then use the Join function?
I need this for my program. There is "add images" button where you can load multiple images and those images should be show on listview after loading.I have been trying to make this but could not get it work.
I am trying to Send an Email with an attachment (using Gmail) but I keep getting errors like "Operation Timed out" or Failure Sending Email". It was working earlier today but I found out that i needed to add Using statement because the email was having a file open that had to be deleted after it was sent but afterwards it doesn't work.
Here's what I have (Portion of it): Private Sub SendMailOneAttachment(ByVal un As String, ByVal pass As String, Optional ByVal smtp As String = "smtp.gmail.com") Using oAttach As Net.Mail.Attachment = New Net.Mail.Attachment((Environment.GetFolderPath(Environment.SpecialFolder.LocalApplicationData) & "\" & My.Computer.Name & "_" & fName & " .zip")) Dim client As SmtpClient = New SmtpClient(smtp) [Code] .....
The ports are correct I believe, no firewall up on my PC...
I have done a lot of searching in this forum which regards to my topic and it turns out that i'm kinda confused.. considering that i don't have any experience when comes to ports and stuffs. So i made my own thread for me to be on the right track..
I have a list of strings. For each string in that list, I want to prepend another string. I wrote a method to do it, but I was wondering if there was something already in .NET I could use to do this. It seems like something that could be built in, but I was not able to find anything.
Here is the method I wrote:
Private Function PrependToAllInList(ByRef inputList As List(Of String), ByRef prependString As String) As List(Of String) Dim returnList As List(Of String) = New List(Of String) For Each inputString As String In inputList returnList.Add(String.Format("{0}{1}", prependString, inputString))
[code].....
It works, but I would rather use built in functions whenever possible.
im wounder how to make a string error like that in vb so if the user write echi and not echo on a string it will get a error like a other variant of this if richtextbox1.text = ("ecoi") then msgbox("string error") but only on 1 string
I have this code below and everytime I run it I get this error.
Private Sub SendEmail(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As EventArgs) Handles Button2.Click Email.To.Add(Settings.txtTo.Text) Email.From = New MailAddress(Settings.txtFrom.Text) Email.Body = "Email Body"
[code]....
The error I get is: The parameter 'addresses' cannot be an empty string. Parameter name: addresses And it's pointing to the Email.To.Add() section.
I've been able to create and send an e-mail using System.net.mail. But it appears that the message isn't being sent until the application closes. This causes two major problems for me.1) When the user tries to send a second message, I get the following error: a generic error occurred in GDI+. I believe this is caused because I'm creating and sending a screen shot. If I take out the screen shot the error goes away. The screen shot is nice but not necessary. I can work around it, if I have to.
2) I am using the e-mail to provide notification that a process has been completed. The sender may continue to do other work while in the application -- including sending an e-mail to another recipient.
What do I need to do to get the e-mail to be sent before the application is closed?
I've got a client/server communicating nicely using TCP to send text strings and to parse and act upon the messages at either end, but now I want to be able to send small files. I thought it would be as simple as reading the contents of the file into a buffer and sending that buffer as if it was a message but obviously not. When I retrieve the message at the client end I get "System.Byte[]" so its given me the variable type and not the actual contents of the array I thought I'd passed in!
My Sending code is this :
Public Sub SendFile(ByVal Filename As String) Dim sw As IO.StreamWriter Dim fs As IO.FileStream
[code]....
(NB I did search for this within the forum and found some examples but they just didn't fit very well with the framework of what I'm doing, such as creating a 2nd tcp channel to handle file transfers?
i have hit a hiccup in a program i have been working on, and i need to know how to send emails with aol, as apposed to something like gmail. I was wondering if anyone knows what the aol sms port and host are, and how one can use them to send emails. (does anyone know how to send emails with aol?)
Is there a way to pickup the SMTP server address, Username and Password for their E-mail account so that an e-mail can be sent directly from the application without having to use their e-mail application.
I want to be able to create a feature in my application that automates an email to be sent using the address(s) from a database, makeing it much easier for the user not having to worry about typeing and email or finding the email address as this is stored in the database, could anybody help, or direct me to any tutorials
I have a program that I collect data using a com port. I display that using special visual controls - no problem here.
What I would like to do is to send this same information out over the network via ethernet to another PC located in another room.
I presume I would have to have another copy of the program on the second pc as the information is simply duplicated but I am not sure how to get the data out of one to the other
I'm going to start a project so what I need to do is make something that is kinda like an email. I am working with the register part of it because just like an email you have to select who to send it to.
I have been summoned with the task of taking a tab delimited file and converting that file so it can be read by a third-party program. I am trying to think of the best way to do this, but I am having a hard time. Here is a view of the raw data that must be altered:
I am toiling with the best way of doing this. So far, I am not having much luck. I have used arrays quite successfully in Java, but I am not sure that this is the best way to go here. I would have to get how many lines there are and read each line. Make the changes, and then go on to the next line. I think scanning the document line by line using a loop is the best way. However, I am not sure.
