Jul 26, 2009In my detail form I would like to diaplay datetimepicker field as blank in case when user open new record. Is it possible to display blank datetimepicker? How it to do?

Aug 20, 2009I've used VB to connect to Excel and get the titles of the different columns in a spreadsheet. These then display in a drop down combo box for the user to choose from. I'm getting lots of empty values in my combo box because not all the columns in Excel have titles. How would I go about telling it not to display them?
Excuse the easy question but I've only started learning to code a week ago.

The DateTimePicker's properties changed are: ShowCheckBox: True, Checked: False

Jun 30, 2009This combo box is databound to a SQL backend, so when it is filled it has a blank at the top of the list. I am assuming this is added because of the NULL at the bottom of the SQL table. Is there a way to remove this entry?

VS 2008 Console App Blank Spaces?

However
I am trying to create a console app which is a TCPlistener however whenever it receives any data and I write to the console window it gives alot of 'enters' (blank lines) which is not what I sent at all.

Mar 14, 2011Does anyone know what is the best way to check has datetimepicker been clicked and value selected before saving and updating database. I am working on a database app and database field for "Date" does not allow null so in order for app to work properly i would like before saving to check if the date is selected and if not to create warning for user. I have created that for "Name" and other columns, but those are text boxes so I had no problem with that. I could change the database field for "Date" to allow null, but that the easyer way and not what I really want. If someone has solution for problem

Jan 19, 2011I had created a media player using directx. It works perfectly even with resizing the form but I having problem when I minimize it. I use panel as the owner of the video and after I minimize and change it to normal state, the panel goes blank but the sound goes on. Then I get an error in application notification by VB2008. There might be something to do with the graphics where I dint handle it when I minimize it.

All I want to do is set the date textbox to blank and move on to the next field, but I can't. I am eternally "stuck" in the field unless I put a valid date value.

Oct 1, 2009I have a text file that I'm reading into a listbox. I want to skip a line if it's blank. The following code works if I leave out the check for the line being blank. It puts the file in the listbox with no errors. However, when I include the If statement that checks for the line being blank, I get an ArgumentNullException in the Items.Add line when It gets to the end of the file.
