I finished my application and i have a registration system which checks with my server if the key is correct the program is validated and the trial part is removed. So my problem is that i do not want to seat all day by the computer and make serial keys. I want to make a program that will generate the keys for me. I looked into RockXp but that's a third party software.

I need to create an airline reserve system in which the user selects whether they want first class or economy using a radio button. Also once the user hits reserve seat the first seat number should turn from green to red in the section they selected. If the user was then to hit reserve seat again the next seat (seat 2) would turn from green to red and so on. I know I have to use a control array. This is how far I have gotten.

So I found this little morpg. The game is fun but really repetitive. I would like to simplify some of the tasks in the game. I do not know how to start this project. How can I recored arrow keys and then tell the computer to enter the arrow keys? One of the objectives in the game is to run around a farm 2x and scare away any wolfs. So the commands would be "arrow key up" for 30sec and then "arrow key right" for 4 sec and repeat. I have worked with robots in real life for some time. We would fill arrays with such instructions. One of the most fun things to program! But I have no idea how to do this in VB.

I use visual basics 2008 to code, and i made my prject its like a program bot, that uses a regular windows form and textboxes etc.NOw i can make it password protected, and give a user the login info, but in order to make a different login info, i have to change it by going in the project and change the code where its a different login and re-save the new work.

I am sending data into VB through a serial port on my computer, from a microcontroller. The data enters VB in an ASCII form, but I need it as a number. I can use the Asc command to convert numbers 0-127 however after this it dosent work. I believe this is becaus the ascii character map only goes through 127. So how can I convert the rest of the data (128-256) to a numbers?

I have started by creating a form that can connect to the controller and I can receive data from the Controller and display Zone status, volume etc in corresponding texts box thaks to help from Stanav and Tassa in my previous thread.
My next problem is to do with receiving lots of data from the serial port and my application getting out of sync. This is mainly caused by turning the volum control as each time it is turned a little bit the controller sends out the new status of the Zone being effected

I have a problem detecting whether one of the arrow keys is pressed, all the other keys seem to be detected apart from the arrow keys??? I have set key preview to True........ It detects the arrrow keys BUT ONLY if I have NO other controls on the form??? example..

View 22 Repliesin my program i have a timer, and every 5 sec (for example) i send a string by serial.i have to read every key pressed between each 5 sec and send a number that tells me what i am sending.what I've done is to send 1 as long as up key is pressed and send 8 as long as left key is pressed and send 9 as long as both are pressed.when i run my program, the first time i press up and left at the same time and i keep them pressed, the serial send me the first time 9 and then ignores the up key and send me 8 always.and sometimes send me 9 and after that always send me 1 and ignores the left key..the point is that vb ignores the first button i press even if i keep pressing it..what should i do to make vb.net takes two arrows keys at the same time?
