Textbox scroll bar is enabled but after full page of text the scroll bar comes up, new text cannot be displayed unless scroll bar is dragged down. Is there any way that I can set to move scroll bar automatically so new text always comes up?

The box stores all messages but I cannot get it to automatically scroll down to the most recent IM when the box is full and scrollbars are necessary. eg. When a user gets enough messages that they must start using the scrollbars, when a new message comes, the scrollbars reset to the top instead of the bottom where the new message is. I have a program that adds text to a textbox. The textbox is multi-line and has a vertical scroll bar. I want to have my textbox to scroll down automatically when new text is added, however, I do not want the other controls on the form to loose focus.I have tried the following code with no success:

what im trying to do is using regex i'm pulling information from a webpage, and they are shown on a checklist. I want to be able to check the check on the checklist, press a button and ill be taken to the place the regex text was, or a tag around there.
Something i've also wondered about is if your able to link the regex to a in-software Webbrowser from the tool box, as i'm trying to pull information from a site that requires me to log in, before i can view the certain page. So i just wnat to be able to log in Webbrowser1 and then the regex can read from there.

I'm making... well, it's sort of like a game in VB.net (using VS2008, if it matters). Being sort of like a game, it's dependent on timing, but it also has a large area (have to scroll the window on pretty much any resolution).The problem I'm having is that whenever I scroll the window (or move any of the smaller, additional windows) the program pauses what it's doing, and doesn't start again until I stop scrolling (or moving windows, or whatever).So is there any way to stop it pausing when you scroll or move windows?

For exercise 1 I have created the form with a button and two text boxes, but cannot work out the code I need to move text between the two boxes. View 14 RepliesI have a wrapper class created around TextBox, and I want to find out if there is any way to test if the vertical scroll bar is at the beginning (the very top) of the text box and at the very end of the text box.Alternatively, I will be happy if only I can find out a way to check if a scroll bar is enabled or not in a textbox (note: it's not a RichTextbox).
By enabled, I mean that scroll bar is actually enabled i.e. you can use the scroll bar to scroll the control, not just visible (I know we can check visibility by GetWindowLong)
so i have a quite huge program. but lets say i have one label. and i want to save that. i have the code and everything for saving the text of the label. now i want to assign ctrl+s to automatically save the labels text once pressed instead of going through a menu to choose save.this is like a regular texteditor where u press ctrl+s and it saves.

Well, if I use AppendText() it does something like this, but if you scroll up, then each time you receive a message you will be scrolled all the way down.
Is there a way to make it scroll all the way down if I am scrolled at the bottom? Meaning, it would check the textbox where its scrolled at, then it would if scrolled to the bottom, and the text and scroll down, otherwise, it would just add the text.
2.Is there a way to make the mouse scroller scroll the textbox? currently it onlt does so when the textbox is the active control on the form, but can I make it always scroll it when the mouse is placed over the control, like it seems to do in MSN when you have a chat open for someone and you are typing a message, you can scroll at the same time without moving focus to the top part where the text is displayed.
My application appends incoming report data onto a RichTextbox control. As more text arrives from an external device, the thumb initially fills the trough and as times goes on, the thumb diminishes in size. This is expected behavior.A modal dialog box allows the user to cancel the file download but since it's modal, the user can't scroll down to see what the last text that was appended.Is there a property/event/method that will show the most recent/last text in the RichTextBox control, rather than the initial text as I have it displayed now? The middle mouse wheel doesn't scroll the scroll bar; I have to actually click and hold the scroll bar and drag it down to scroll. Is there a property to allow this?
