View 3 RepliesI am developing a small application using VS2008, the mdiparent has a expandable panel with Button 1 and Button 2 on it, which opens up child form 1 and child form 2. ( The two child forms are maximized within the mdiparent form)
The problem is, button 1 opens child form 1 and button 2 - child form 2. I cant open the two forms randomly. I have to close the topmost form to access the other forms below it and vice versa.

I bet someone already asked this but i cant seem to find it. Ok i need is a global settings that can be updated which will affect all users. I was using xml files in the program filestill now and I need to get around using this because the files can be delete or over written incorrectly. I started using the settings option and realized application level is read only and i cannot use user scope because then it wont be global settings. Is there an alternative to this.

I was just wondering if there was a way to send the button value of a button on a controller to the controller. What I mean is, if the xbox 360 controller was a windows form, clicking the mouse on one of the buttons would be like regular button presses, and then the button.performclick for that button would also press that button. View 2 RepliesI have a button on my form where I'm showing a ContextMenu when the user left clicks on it, I'm actually using MouseUp right now to show it.What I would like to have happen is the user click on the button, the button stays pressed while the ContextMenu shows, it returns to normal when the ContextMenu closes (Either a menu item was selected, the user hits the escape key or they click/tab to somewhere else). Also I'd like to position the ContextMenu in the lower left corner if the menu opens down or the top left corner if it opens up. So the left edge of the ContextMenu is flush with the left edge of the button.Moreso the button staying pressed until the ContextMenu is closed.
Edit: I'm also ok with this being it's own control inheriting the FW's Button that used the assigned ContextMenu as well.
