May 9, 2012I implmented a function to check time range in vb.net. But it is giving me wrong output. My starttime is everyday at 11.00 Pm and end Time is 5.00 AM. My function if i pass 1.10 AM does not return me true output as this falls under that time range.

Mar 27, 2011I'm writing a report scheduler that is somewhat of a clone to the backupexec scheduler and the layout can be seen in post #10 here: [URL]..It works great and saves/edits/deletes records just fine, but now i need to compare those records one at a time in a windows service that i'm writing in order to trigger automated report creation and emailing - i already have the report and i already have the code for the emailing, i'm just looking for the most efficient way to loop through the table (that i've pulled in to a dataset) and compare its records with the current date and time - if true, the event fires.

How To Check Only One MenuStrip Item At A Time
May 9, 2011I have a MenuStrip with several items in it. All I am trying to do is select(check) only one item at a time.
Example: Lets say I have a menu title Fruits, and under the menu are several fruits.
Currently, when I click on one fruit there is a check mark, good! The problem is when I click on another fruit there is also a check mark and so on. I only need the menu to check one item at a time, this will unchecked an item if I check another menu item. I tried using if statements but doesn't even come close to working. Any ideas on this?

Mar 26, 2012this is my very first posting and I must say I am desperate. I have a VB assignment due in 2 days and I am so lost. I have written a code to draw some graphic, just a basic house, tree, sun etc. I have also written a code to magnify said graphics which were all the specifications of my Assignment 1 part A. Now for Part B I am being asked to extend my program so that: A - My graphic can be drawn using different colour schemes designed by me but chosen by the user B - My graphic or an appropriate part of it can be animated around the picture box if the user chooses to do so. C - Error checking is included.

VS 2010 - Applications Made Using VB 2010 Express Expire After Some Time?
Nov 3, 2011Here are my questions concerning VB 2010 Express:
1. I've registered my VB 2010 Express, will it still expire?
2. Will the applications I made using VB 2010 Express expire after some time?
3. Is it OK to write my code in the designer.vb file? I don't know why, but when I started writing my application it took me to the designer.vb instead of form1.vb code.
4. I've been working on an application for a week now, but suddenly I can no longer access my Design View(Shift-F7). All my codes are written on the [form name].Designer.vb. I can still view my codes but I cant access my form layout. On the solution explorer, my forms no longer have the 'form icon'. When i press Shift-F7 nothing happens. Right-clicking the form on the solution explorer doesn't show 'View Designer' option. How can I fix this?
