VS 2010 - Filter On DataGridView Greater Than Zero

I have a datagridview where I have added a filter. What I am trying to do if the user leaves the field blank I want all the records to show. The field I am filtering on is an integer. I thought I could declare a variable and if the field is blank include all records greater than 0. This would return all records as the number will never be below 0. I tried this but can't get it to work:

I thought I had this sussed until I then wanted to filter between two values or greater than or less than two values. I have searched and searched all over the web for this and I just go round in circles. This is so frustrating why is this so difficult to find something so basic (anyway that is my rant). I have something like this but am totally confused and do not understand what I am doing now: how I get this working in plain English.
Me.BindingSource.Filter = String.Format("DeliveryDate >= #{0:MMM/dd/yyyy}# And DeliveryDate <= #{1:MMM/dd/yyyy}#", dtpStartDelDate.Value.Date, dtpEndDelDate.Value.Date) _
& String.Format("JobID >= {0} AND JobID <= {1}", txtStartJobID.Text, txtEndJobID.Text)
If I run this with just the date range filter it works fine it is when I add the second filter for the Job ID range I get the following error; {"Syntax error: Missing operand after 'JobID' operator."}
So I it is this line I have the problem with:
String.Format("JobID >= {0} AND JobID <= {1}", txtStartJobID.Text, txtEndJobID.Text)

I am using vb.net express version. I have a datagridview which is popuated with data from an access database. I have all the data side working ok with the "Call Date" column set as datetime and sorted in date order assending within my application. I also have a monthviewcalender on the form and wish to filter the datagridview by the date selected in the monthviewcalender to show appointments i may have on that date.I have tried to populate the selected date into a textbox and use the following to filter:
AppointmentsBindingSource.Filter = String.Format("[Call Date] Like '" & TextBoxDate.Text) & "*'"
This causes a error. I have tried many different variants like:
AppointmentsBindingSource.Filter = ("[Call Date] Like '" & MonthCalendar1.SelectionRange.Start) & "*'"
The column is set as datetime in access and is system.datetime in the database explorers properties.

I have a datagridview and im using this code fill the table from a txt file.

All that long list(more than 2000items) is loaded into my datagridview which have two columns named "ITEM" and "ID" With the code above the item from the id is splitted to each seperate column.I want to press a button and filter the table to show only swords for example or only spears.And the other thing is to make a search button to search for a specific item,which i suppose if the first thing is doable the second will be peace of cake..

am new to vb 2010 i havent touch VB since 2002 , am a lil confuse how to make things to work now.i have a local database "sql" with 2 tables.one holds the client info and the other the orders for the clients.i have a data grid view and am able to populate the grid with the correct information for the client. using [code]that brigs me all the orders for that client.now orders are also made by campaing.i have a textbox that the user will type the campaing to view just the orders for that campaing beloning to that clientand i get stuck,what i get is all the orders from that campaing and the 1st filter by client gets override.

I am pulling data from a SQL server database into a dataset. The date are a DateTime type:

I can see the data in the field reads: 2011-09-09 15:56:29.667. I have tried to convert this by adding convert(varchar(10),DateFrom,103) which results in 09/09/2011 and then Custom Formated the DateTimePicker but still no success.I think I might be going completely off track here so can someone guide me on where I am going wrong here or the best way of doing this

with more control over changing values in a data bound DataGridView.On form load, all the data is pulled down from the attached database and fills the gridIf I want to change one of the values in the grid, I can put my mouse cursor in the cell, change the entry and save it back to the database.

I want to filter a text in all columns in a datagridview. So I use Like % in the filter text. However, I found that the text(strFilter in my code) may contain % sometimes. So it have a syntax error. How can I use filter with like clause when the filter text contains %?

I have a form with a datagridview bound to a database that has recorded who entered data into via the windows user id.I am trying to filter the datagridview to only display records created by the user that is currently logged in.I can get the windows user name with function getusername() which returns a string.
The field that houses the username is "staff_entering_referral"
I am doing this but the datagridview does not update or change.

I'm adding textboxes inside a datagridview to use them to filter the data that is displayed in the grid. Each column has a textbox placed in the header. Everything is fine until the grid has the horizontalscroll visible. The texbox move if the scroll isused but they flicker and if the grid has the rowheader visible the textboxes gets over it. Is there any way to avoid the flicker and a workaround with the rowheader. I don't want to have to hide the rowheader but if there is nothing else that can be done.The class is not finish yet:

I have it so when the form loads I can double click and the row and bring up the form to edit that row. This works. but if I run a filter on it and then double click it doesn't bring up the selected row but the first row of the grid as if I never had a filter on it. I have 1000 rows, I run the search to filter it and find 5 rows. I click on the last row and it brings up the data from row one of the 1000 rows. Always the top row. Does this have something to do with the bindingsource not having the correct index?

Im creating a filter/search for a datagridview in VB. I have a two comboboxes and one textbox. combobox1 selects a field, combobox 2 selects criteria, textbox is for values. After I select my field and criteria and enter in my value, I hit a Go button and run the following code:

I have a datagridview which filters on a boolean field where it's false. If the user clicks on the field, the line disappears immediately I guess because it no longer satisfies the filter. Is there any way to prevent this?

Now I wanted to add a textbox that works like a filter when someone enters some text in the textbox the ontextchange event add's a LIKE filter for that word on columnname1.
Is something like that possible on the way how I fill my datagridview? On google you'll get some examples only those are with a bounded dataset and that's not working with my datagridview.

I have a datagrid view with some data in it. The first column (0) is called 'Date' and contains the dates I want to work with.What I would like is to be able to filter (only display) the data between a date range selected by the user using 'Datetimepicker1' and 'Datetimepicker2'

i have datagridview and datasource is dataset. Everything is fine no problem.
It has 3 coloumns, ID, Name, City. ID is PK
Now I have rowfilter on dataset like this
dataset.tables(0).defaultview.rowfilter = "Name Like '" + txtName.text + "%'"
everything is fine till here. it show selected records.
now, i have another text box on form which ask for id and search id in datagrid like this

in above case if id found then it will dr with row. which is fine...
the question is how i can find if current row is in list or not because of filter on dataset.table
